Since brand new, minimal checking lang.

Once a month lang ako mag check. After a year, it's still on the max level.

practically all modern vehicles with a radiator have an overflow tank or cannister, and a sealed cooling system.
for as long as your seals are ok and your engine does not overheat, your coolant levels will remain ok for a long time. you don't have to add coolant over long periods of time, as in, years.
    new car? enjoy!

Do not put water in your brand new car's radiator. Have the casa take care of it during PMS or buy the recommended coolant from the casa and refill it yourself.

There is a waterless coolant. Jay Leno uses it for his very old classics to prevent corroding priceless parts. Will cost you though.

don't use water alone sir use prestone coolant. may anti freeze and anti boil and anti rust kasi yan na wala sa ordinary water.

Better not mix coolants especially when they're in different colors. Mitsubishi has their own premixed coolant that you can buy from the casa or some auto supply shops.

    improvise

After confirming no coolant loss, this was the time the dealership installed a seal to prevent tampering and to preserve integrity for warranty claims. No, do not mix coolants. There are ethylene glycol based, propylene glycol based, Hybrid organic acid technology(HOAT), organic acid technology to name a few. They are not exactly compatible. Each formulation is designed exactly for the metals, composites and sealing materials used in the engine. Failure to install the right antifreeze/coolant mixture or the right type shortens the life of the engine. Avoid the "pwede na yan" coolant.

Experience-wise, and especially for mixed-metal environments, I would not recommend using organic-acid based coolants. It is more prone to corrosion (though it inhibits it).
