Ayun na-top overhaul.

na experience ko na rin sa lancer ko yan culprit baradong radiator kaya pina overhaul ko after that ok na ulit car ko pero i think kailangan ko na rin mag invest para sa brand new na radiator kasi dalawang butas na yung di magawa as in barado na talaga

November 15th, 2007 01:23 PM #13You can rule out radiator fan problem kung nago-overheat kapag mabilis ang takbo. The fans don't normally engage at high speeds since mabilis na ang dating ng hangin - enough to cool the radiator without the fan. In your case (7K) mayroong clutch ang fan and it disengages the fan at high vehicle speeds.
I would first check the radiator. Baka nga barado and not enough coolant is flowing through the radiator at high speeds. Specially since you are using deep well water. Suggestion lang, use distilled/purified water in order to avoid clogged radiators.
Since 7k iyan, check mo na rin ang water pump. Madali na iyan tanggalin specially if the radiator is already out (hindi na masikip). Inspect and replace if necessary.
And inspect the fan clutch while you are at it. Add silicone oil if needed. Mura lang ang 1-tube ng silicone oil. But you might need 2-3 tubes.
Ayan, dumami na tuloy ang gagawin.
And if the above doesn't work, mas marami ka na talagang gagawin.

Definitely your radiator. The mineral deposits in hard water can accumulate and clog the radiator passages. Not only that, it can also clog your engine's water jackets - around the cylinders, the thermostat housing, water pump too perhaps, as well as all rubber hoses.
Have your entire cooling system flushed with citric acid (low dilute concentration) to get all the mineral deposits out. Flush it until the water that comes out is clean. Just be warned that this could loosen any stubborn deposits and can cause a spike in the temperature when something declogs.
When done, fill it with coolant/antifreeze and distilled or deionized water if you have access to either.

November 17th, 2007 12:24 AM #16not weird really, normal yan sa bara bara na radiator, nangyari na sa akin yan. nagpa-overhaul ako ng radiator and whoa puro rust na and a few lines are dead(clogged) already. temp goes up when your engine exerts more effort, kaya during normal driving normal temp ka, kasi kaya pa nung radiator mo ang heat produce by your engine during these conditions BUT when you go faster or a continuous uphill climb water temp will rise. pa-overhaul mo sir, doon mo rin makikita kung may problems pa radiator mo, or the cooling sys itself.

November 17th, 2007 02:03 AM #17re distilled h2O for radiator.
may nabasa ako na not all distilled water are created equal, some are acidic (based on ph) yung popular brand daw sa atin nasa range ng Ph 5.+, isa lang daw ang brand na hindi acidic, hindi minention ang name pero stars with the letter V... daw. so piliin din yung hindi acidic. kung gagamitin sa radiator. Kung sino man tsikoteer na may access sa pang test (litmus paper kaya kaya?) paki verify. forgot where ko nabasa. once i remember post ko agad. but kung lagyan ng coolant baka ma offset na yung balance ng ph. di kaya?

probably clogged radiator nga ang problem nyan..
re distilled water: low the ph content in water causes acidity.. the desirable PH content is from 7.2 to 14..
Distilled Water

Most likely a clogged radiator. I had the same problem last year. Nag pa "Top overhaul" pa ko. Nag overheat pa din :umm:. nung pina overhaul ko radiator ko. Di na nag overheat. Up to now di na ko nag ka problem sa overheating. Have your radiator overhauled first before anything else. most of the time yun ang cause nung overheating
Maraming Salamat :)
