December 15th, 2007 09:10 AM #1gud day po mga tsikoteers, im planning to use radiator flush before draining my radiator fluid kaya lang i've red on a previous thread na masama daw gumamit ng radiator flush sa mga old car kasi natatanggal lahat ng rust sa engine block that may cause leakage. how true is this po? tia

December 15th, 2007 12:21 PM #2save yourself the hassle... may possibility talaga na magleak kung maremove yun rust since the radiator fins might already have been eaten away by rust. much better kung palinis mo sa trusted mechanic and pa-drain mo din. at least they could repair your radiator kung magkabutas yun fins

December 15th, 2007 07:28 PM #3thank you sir. ask lang po ulit ako, pwede po ba na di ana ako gagamit ng radiator flush. i'll let the mechanic drain the old coolant using a hose untill the old fluid is totally drained before i put a new one? ok po ba ito instead of using a radiator flush before draining? kumbaga diretso na drain ng old fluid sa radiator then replace it with mixed distilled water and coolant? tnx again..
