Is there a silent aircon or auxilliary fan blades? I noticed kasi na medyo maingay siya ... hindi naman metallic ang sound, I think it's just the air moving through the blades that makes the noise... just like that of an electric fan. Kaya I ask this kasi I noticed that some electric fans are very silent. Is it in the design of the fan blades? Baka may mabibilan ng mga silent fan blades na 'to? :-)

At kung wala man ... I think mukhang magandang tingnan 'to as a field of research :-D hehe

Ang alam ko po ay may tolerable sounds yong fan, pag masyado na itong maingay ay mis alligned na ang blades sa center of rotation, maaring nagsisimula nang masira ang motor bushing or wala na sa tamang angle yong blades.

Hmmm, speaking of aux fan, meron ba talagang carbon yun? i've heard from the father in law na wag ko raw i-on always yun extra aux fan ko (for emergency lang daw kung overheated ang makina) kasi raw baka maubos yung carbon... ????question mark???? looms to my face, no idea what he meant

As for my observation, halos lahat ng aux fan na nakita ko nang binuksan ay may carbon brushes, pero matagal naman itong maubos. let say siguro sa 20 years na age ng car siguro mga twice lang ito maubusan ng carbon brushes.... pero siguro kung house to office and back lang siguro at paminsan minsang out of town trips.
    opinion ko lang yan ha!
    Peace!

Doesn't really matter whether the carbon brushes are unnecessarily worn down from turning the fan on... since it's usually automatic, wala ka naman say sa issue...

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

A good silent and powerful electrical aux fan is Flex-A-Lite Fans. They have "puller" and "pusher" models. For electrical fans for the radiator, choose a "puller." For air-con condenser usage, choose a "pusher."

Bosch is also ok in terms of cfm power pero medyo may kaingayan lang. Bosch has only "pusher" models.

Where to buy Flex-a-Lite fans? Locally, I dunno. As fas as I know, you can order it from the net (ex. Summit Racing etc...).

ma ingay talaga yan. ganun din sa aking eh kpag naka a/c ang ingay parang blower or malakas pa dyan.. pero sounds okey nman kasi Auto siya kpag A/c on. maybe kulang lang siguro ng support or tight yong fan ko.

yup meron pero you'll have to open it to see the brushes ;-) Personally, I'd rather replace the whole fan rather than the brushes alone. Kasi yung replacement carbons eh madaling mapudpud, sayang sa oras kung every year babalik ka to replace them again.

Yung bagong aux fan ng MB100 namin parang mas tahimik. Korean brand siya and direct-fit replacement nung nasirang OEM aux fan (OEM brand was MANDO, I think).

Parang mas tahimik siya kasi dun sa 300D (which shares most of its engine with the MB100), ang ingay nung Bosch na aux fan. Parang may helicopter na lalanding.

I've just notice na kpag lumuluma na ang fan maingay na talaga ..

Just had mine replaced for 10 years in service..

the mechanic told me that the 'bushing' had already been eaten.

Dont know what that means but it really does gave annoying noise and worst overheat engine .
