I was going home last Saturday night at SlEX ng mamatay yung kotse habang umaandar, nag stuck up yung aircon, pag umaandar ako at pinindot ko yung on button ng aircon nag screech yung belt tapos pigil yung makina, ok naman yung ikot ng tensioner bearing,
the next morning sinabi ko sa misis ko na sira yung aircon and to prove to her pinindot ko yung on ang nangyari gumana naman malamig uli walang screech ng belt pero nung pauwi na kami ng afternoon ganun na naman namamatay yung makina pag on ko nung A/C
hanggang kaninang umaga ganun pa din ok siya sa morning, kung compressor ba problema at magpapalit ako saan ba nakakabili ng murang certified refurbished compressor

^^bro, B14 oto mo? nangyari sa akin yan. the problem is with the compressor main drive. kinain nya yung a/c belt hanggang nasunog. sakit daw ng nissan yan sabi nung taga Ceejays. ang nangyayari kasi, pulpol na yung interior rubber nung main drive, kaya di tumatakbo yung compressor.
Ceejays had my main driver replaced. parts costs 3,500.00 (surplus) + labor. but since nasira din yung a/c belt ko, pinapalitan ko na din.

B13 po ang oto ko, yun bang pulley/magnetic clutch na assembly yun ba yung sinasabi mong compressor main drive o iba pa,
bale hindi naman pinalitan yung compressor mo tama ba

yes . yung pulley. siguro bago mo pa lang na encounter yan. yung sa akin kasi, medyo inabot ng two weeks kaya pati belts eh tinamaan. after nyang na-encounter mo, the following signs will appear:
- lighting of the alternator/battery light. dahil nagdradrag na yung belt, papuntang alternator.
- uusok hood, mangangamoy goma, that is because the belts are burning.
and yes, mainit ang labas ng a/c pag nakalayo-layo na. sa akin, after around 15 minutes of running with AC on. this is because, hindi tumatakbo yung pulley sa compressor.
ganito suggestion ko... observe mo muna yung takbo nung pulley kung pantay. pag medyo nag-wiwiggle, yun na yun. take it to the shop na before the compressor is affected. or if you would have to use the car because of specific reasons, do not use the aircon muna. pero dapat hwag patagalin. daming tatamaan eh.
on your second question. hindi pinalitan yung compressor.

baka yung pulley lang ang may problema. pero if your alternator is very old, mas practical na palitan na. mahirap maabutan ng pagkasira nito especially in the middle of a traffic jam.
agree ako syo. battery dying will be the next owner's problem. kaso the only reason I'm buying...
