April 6th, 2008 04:01 PM #1nissan sentra 1996 model s3
water just kept on spilling near the belts whenever i remove the radiator cap and sabi nung mekanikong napagtanungan ko, water pump daw, at aabutin daw ng 750 labor pa lang?! kapag ini istart ko, may squeaking sound for a moment pati pag inoon ko yung aircon, nawawala naman after a few seconds.
muntik na rin mag overheat yung kotse ko after travelling under the sun at heavy traffic. sino po ba may alam jn na magaling gumawa near marikina na hindi taga?:p or tama lng yung estimate sakin? salamat po ng marami.. this was my first time to post po kasi.. TIA!!

sir the thing is malalim location ng water pump... kaya mahal talaga labor niyan, kaya the best practice is to change water pump together with your timing belt... para isang labor lang.
i dont know saan located yung water pump niyo pero sa ride ko accessible na when kinalas papuntang timing belt.
btw, welcome to tsikot sir

yung tinira nung accord ng dad ko for the timing belt and pump it cost 600 petot plus 100 petot for the commute. home service kasi. hehehe... yung price nun malamang pwede pa tawaran.
if your doubtful sa mga mekaniko, speedyfix is the way to go kasi polido talaga sila gumawa. they may never be the lowset pero peace of mind naman.

April 9th, 2008 01:09 AM #8most of the time when you overheat it is not the waterpump at fault unless tumutulo sya from there.

April 13th, 2008 04:31 AM #10yup, either a leak or it becomes noisy.
only rarely will the pumpin actually get affected or hihina due to corrosion on the blades.
up for suzuki
