am still waiting for sir vince ng coolmate how much sa kanila.. pumunta kasi ako kanina pero sarado yung service center nila sa pasong tamo..

    salamat...

The last time I asked Mang Mar, it was Php3.5k for a locally made replacement front evaporator for a '96 Pajero (maybe the Lancer's is smaller?) and Php1,200 (freon, labor, materials) for dual air (Pajero) or Php600.00 for single air. Iba din ang presyo ng piyesa kung ibang brand ng replacement or kung orig ang gagamitin mo. But the labor is pretty much the same.

Prices could have changed over time and Mang Mar's price will usually be lower than the competition because he doesn't have to pay rent (walang bayad ang pwesto niya).

Maybe Rapide will also use a replacement evaporator. If that's the case, mahal ang Php6k.

ahh thanks. eto lang po mashare ko experience, i replaced mine with a local one before kasi nga nagtitipid, i had problems with it, after mga 2 hours nawawala lamig, the shop pulled it down again, ayun puro ice so again i replaced it with an original one. explanation sakin nung shop was the size, slightly smaller kasi sya compared dun sa original, di daw kaya nung local kaya ng-iicing. i went through this experience pala twice, hehe stubborn din talaga ko, kala ko mali lang cleaning nung unang shop tas nung nagkaleak ulet evaporator ko i went for the local again, ayun same result!

anyway, according dun sa mga shop na yun kia ko lang daw nagkaproblem sa local evaporator (daya noh? di tuloy ako makatipid haha). so i guess ok na local kung nagtitipid ka. btw, local evaporator is around 3.5k

just last saturday, aug 18 nagpasama si gelpren magpaaus nag aircon nya sa
sa banawe, cnamahan ko xa sa innovate, un pinapalit evaporator nya, ung coil, tapos filter pati na rin air sensor, by d way oto ny 97 lancer gsr so most probably preho lng kyo, orig nman nilagay, un inabot lhat pati labor around 8.1k, la nman reklamo ung aircon, convoy nga kami nkapatay na aircon kc sobrng lamig. try mo dun chief, onga pla wag ka kuha nung locally made, d xa ganun kakalamig sayang lng. un ung mga pang taxi na halos parang blower lng na my ice na nakatutok! umm opinion lng, wag ka papagwa sa rapide, dami bad reviews regarding service nla.

anyone knows a good and trusted car aircon shop near makati? ang init talaga pag walang aircon, lalo na pag tanghali then natapat ka pa sa stop light..

Lancer pala auto mo bro, akala ko Civic ang JDM evap (surplus) is just Php1500. Sobrang lamig, based on experience ng mga tiga Honda club.
