Need Your help, na encounter na ba nyo na tumataas ang temp gauge when naka idle, bukas ang aircon at headlight, pero pag ni rev nyo, unti unti ulit bumababa ang temp.
Aside from the mentioned parts, you should also check your radiator cap. Too hard springs won't help the hot water out to the reservoir, too loose not enough pressure to keep the water flowing inside.
Another part that you may want to check is the thermo switch. No repairs, change it to a new orig unit.
i have a totally different suggestion which may be completely off base... that happened to me before and pinalitan ko na lahat ng sinabi ninyo (radiator, thrmostat, switch, etc)
it turns out the problem was my body grounds. i had just had my car painted and apparently napatungan yung ibang grounds kaya they wern't functioning properly and that was the reason the gauge was moving by itself.
i only say this because you mention your temp goes up while the a/c and lights are on (or when may load na yung electrical system ng car). if the problem persists while nakapatay yung ac and headlights then the problem probably is associated with the cooling system. check both nalang to be sure.
If your car is stationary while the engine is idling(especially if it is a rear wheel drive and the fan is belt driven), it's usually normal for the coolant temp to go high. Turning on the A/C will even further aggravate the situation because then the condenser, which is sitting in front of the radiator, will be releasing heat as a result of the refirgerant cycling process of the a/c. But turning on the headlights should have no effect on the coolant temp.
i agree them folks. dati nung rear wheel drive p ang ride ko, ganyan din. lalo pag trapik. any way, if you were a DIY-er then check mo yung mga sinabi nila, plus yung thermostat din, baka faulty na rin yung thermostat mo.
