    Clearly, you didn't read it right. Tap water has minerals that will cause deposits/corrosion in the long run. Distilled water is required.

    It would also be advisable to have a citric acid flush of the entire cooling system before filling it up with the desired water + coolant mixture. This rids the system of the corrosion and minerals left from the old cooling system.

    yes distilled water nga ang mas maganda..pag tap water nabubulok yung ibang parts na dadaanan nito in the long run.

    is there any way of manually opening up the thermostat to make sure all the water/coolant is drained? i tried draining and refilling it last weekend, napuno na siya after filling 3 liters

    before draining the coolant, turn on the engine and wait for the upper radiator hose to get hot. once this happens, it means that the thermostat is open and the coolant is now flowing in the engine and radiator. turn off the engine and drain the coolant.

    Here in the US we open the heaters of the cars to allow the heat to also circulate through the heater hoses and heater core, allowing more coolant to get in and preventing air pockets to form. This allows less burping.

    If your car is so equipped with the heaters, then you should run it as well.
