December 12th, 2002 10:17 PM #1Need ur help, kahapon nag overheat sasakyan ko, may usok na lumabas
sa may driver side.Kanina pina change oil at pinatingin na rin yung radiator kung may problema, pansin kase namin madalas maubusan ng tubig. Pinalitan nung mekaniko yung radiator cap dahil sira na daw, nung pauwi na tumataas ulit yung temp. ano pa ba pwedeng icheck? di kaya barado na yung radiator o sira thermostat, paano ba malalaman kung yun nga ang cause?

December 13th, 2002 02:38 PM #3Mahaba ang procedures in diagnosing overheating! Check for leaks muna. Apply pressure kung may paraan ka. May special tool ang mga casa to pressure and leak test. Kung overheating only if aircon is "on" baka condenser fans. Kung dahan-dahan yet fast moving naman, baka thermostat o barado radiator. Kung biglang taas and only during long trips (as in nagbuild-up na ng pressure) baka water pump - kung minsan kasi di agad nagli-leak ang water pump kung malamig pa makina. It's only when temp goes up that pressure builds-up. Kapag na-sense na ng sensor, thermostat opens to allow free-flow of water to the radiator that cools it. Never remove the thermostat - old school yun. Without it, totoo malamig makina kaya wala sa operating temp. Ang effect, weak power and high fuel consumption. Hindi totoo na walang overheat kung walang thermostat!
Kung di mo kaya, go to your nearest talyer o casa. Kung ordinary talyer, the above will help you para malaman mo kung niloloko ka lang ng mekaniko. Goodluck.

salamat sa reply, .nangyari kase nung nagoverheat siya we turned off the aircon and sounds and bumaba naman yung temp, pansin din namin ngayon, slowly yung temp goes up and down pero di naman umaabot sa redline habang tumtakbo.iniwan muna namin sa mekaniko at obserbahan daw muna niya. i hope di naman grabe problema.

tumataas pa rin yung temp habang nirerev at kahit di naka on yung aircon.
sabi niya posibleng barado na yung radiator at kailangan ng linisin pero kailangan
palitan yung top plastic part ng radiator dahil disposable daw ito. 2000 pesos at copper na daw yung kapalit. pag bagong radiator 6500 pesos naman daw coppper na din. Ano ba mas ok, bili na lang ng bagong radiator? saan ba mas murang nakakabili ng radiator? yun kaya talagang problema nun? need ur help... please

ano ba auto mo? kc kung ngbabawas sya ng tubig den kahit kaka start mo palang e may pressure na sa radiator kpag tinanggal mo ung cap, cylinder head gasket na yan... top overhaul na dapat... ung L3 ko sayang yang ung pa overhaul ng radiator kc d nman pla un ung sira...
dito sa may amen sa blumentrit mlapit sa chinese general hospital may mga bilihan ng radiator:lol:

hindi yata tama na palitan ang top plastic part ng radiator kung wala naman problema. para sa akin hindi acceptable yung dahilan ng mekaniko. since nasa top yan eh madali naman obserbahan kung may leak or crack sa top.
get a second opinion and third. kung may kilala ka sa casa subukan mo din.

hindi na pinalitan yung plastic part nakuha din sa linis, barado na nga. kaya lang pagkakabit nag oovertemp pa rin . pinalitan niya ng thermostat switch (1200 pesos) at stable na yung temp hanggang ngayon ok pa :D .
yung mekaniko ko, dating trainor ng mga mekaniko ng honda , nagtayo na lang siya ng sariling business kaya may tiwala na rin ako sa kakayahan niya.
