Good day..Matagal na ako ng babasa dito for different info kaso ngaun lang ako nagregister.

Here is the problem..

2 days after ng top overhaul..tinakbo namen un car laguna to manila pier at pabalik.. No overheat na nangyari pero sa 3rd day after ng top overhaul ng overheat un kotse habang tinatakbo namen sa area namen..

Any advice will be a great help.. Thanks

Describe the conditions in which the overheat occurred... was it running? What speed? Was it sitting at idle?

A lot of conditions not visible on the computer diagnostic can lead to overheating... cavitation at the water pump, a slipping water pump belt, weak radiator fans or even a timing problem due to a camshaft out of alignment.

Forgot to tell something...

Might be a fan issue, a problem with the overhaul (though there shouldn't be if it was done at the casa) or even a boil over of the fluid.

What coolant are you using? (or are you using coolant at all instead of just plain tap water?)

Was the system purged of bubbles? If it wasn't, it could be that the coolant started to boil due to air trapped in the system.

we used coolant from total.. siguro naman un fan is ok kasi top over haul lang un rinicommend nun sa casa..

thanks you sir will check again dun sa mga sinabe mo..

    Good luck!

A compression test will also help tell you if the overhaul was done properly. Not many shops carry the equipment to do it, but it's relatively cheap and quick.

3min. lng po b pinatay ang makina then nung inistart ok na ulit? kung meron po kc yan overheating kung sumagad ang temp.gauge nya dpat puede n magoverflow ang reservoir tank ng radiator, at di po yan kaya n mwala agad within 3min. lng n patay ang makina it takes less than 45min b4 bumaba ang temp. gauge, possible po ang problema nyan kung ganun ay yun pong electrical wirings nya, pacheck nyo po ang temp.sending unit if accurate, thermoswitch if accurate.. puede rin po n bk delay signal n sya pra paikutin ang rad fan motor kaya umaangat angat ang temp gauge nyo..
