i changed my water pump like, two months ago. :P
so unless the installation was wrong and the water pump gasket is leaking... (pero in my experience when the water pump was leaking, ANG BILIS mawalan ng tubig, as in one day lang)

i've found a small leak (at least i think it is..) on my IAC valve. this is probably what's causing the erratic idle.. will try to change the hoses.

bro have your radiator overhauled. Ganyan din ang sa akin dati. Walang tagas pero nababawasan ang laman ng reserve. Later on, nagsimula nang mag-overheat pero wala pa ring tagas. Culprit. Pag sobrang init na at hindi makacirculate hot water sa radiator, bumabalik ito sa reserve spill hose at doon lumalabas ang water. Backfiring kung baga. Mura lang naman pa overhaul and have a peace of mind afterwards.

had the same problem with crv since June pa, pag traffic tumataas yun temp ko.
ngaun nasa talyer na yun tsikot, replace radiator na.

Dugtong ko na din dito yung problem ng REVO ko.. slowly loosing coolant din. konting history lang para maintindihan mabuti...

1. odometer * 73k - nag 3/4 yung temperature. 1st time nangyari ito.. found out na wala na coolant yung radiator at reservoir. since gabi noon at i'm on a hiway, tubig na lang muna nilagay ko. kinabukasan dinagdagan ko na lang ng 1 liter coolant. since then, di na ulit nag-overheat..
2. odometer * 75k - dinala ko sa Toyota for service.. oil change/filter, drain coolant/water then replace with toyota Red coolant and distilled water 40%/60%.

after 2 days, saw a leak sa gawi ng water pump and nababawasan sya ng coolant around 1/4 liter/day.. so order ako ng water pump since wala sila stock for the Revo. after a week, wala pa din daw pump, so hintay muna.. around 77k, the leak stopped but still nagbabawas pa din ng coolant sa reservoir. pero di na malakas, around 1/2 liter a week na lang.

nung na-drain sya * 75k ay natanggal daw siguro yung mga dumi na nakabara sa gaskets ng water pump kaya nagka-leak. and kaya daw huminto yung leak ay dahil nabarahan na ulit yung gasket.. since wala na silang makitang sign ng ano mang leak, i asked them kung bakit nagbabawas pa din yung reservoir ko.. i asked him if i need to replace my water pump. di siya nagbigay ng concrete answer and said na obserbahan ko daw muna.

i'm nearing the 80k pms at nagbabawas pa din sya but very slow na lang.. ano ba kelangan ipagawa ko dito???

im having the same problem. i had just changed the coolant almost two months ago, i just drained the radiator and did not flush it. im filled it up with a shell coolant (grey container) (300 pesos/L) initially at 1:1 ratio. im loosing about 0.5L a and im just topping it up only with distilled water dahil mahal yung shell coolant. im just wondering if its possible that the new coolant might have something to do with this or is it because i did not flush the system?

same problem..but mine is obvious leak coming from the top most of my radiator.. uhmm first try those mechanical style like checking if you've got busted water pump or head gasket.. if my bubbles or wla.. 2nd maybe hindi mo napansin na hindi mag on yong aux fan mo or minsan meron fan or minsan hindi so mainit na sya and does your temp goes higher to its normal level? 3rd maybe a small bleeding under the radiator or wherever side.. 4th maybe radiator cap not properly tightened or needs to be replace.. 5th tama ba yun level ng reservior mo at hindi mo pina overflow kpag mag refil ka? just troubleshooting if may suspect ka.

For the last couple of months kase, nababawasan coolant ko almost everyday since umabot ng 3/4 temp ko. Pinatingin ko sya nung umabot ulit ng 3/4 while driving at high speed sa SLEX (mga 140 kph max) pero nung pinatay ko aircon bumaba naman ulit sa 1/2. May leak na ung water pump so pinapalitan ko. It's been a month since, hindi na nababawasan ung coolant.

Yesterday, nagpunta kami Tagaytay. On our way there, napansin ko medyo lumagpas ng 1/2 ung temp lalo na kapag paakyat. Pero nagnormalize naman din when we reached Tagaytay. On our way back home, d ko na pinaabot ng 140 kph. Max speed ko na siguro 90 kph and my temp was just below 1/2. This morning, I checked the coolant reservoir, it's just below the MIN level. Before kami umalis yesterday, it was about half-inch below the MAX level. I just filled it up with water na lang muna.

When I replaced the water pump, sabi nila clogged na din radiator ko. Kaso kulang pera ko then so water pump na lang muna pinapalitan ko. In a couple of weeks, bili na ko bnew evercool radiator. Hopefully by then, kahit ibyahe ko ng malayo layo, maging stable pa rin coolant level ko.

tama ang suggestions ni speedyfix ,meron lang ako suggestion , sa pressure test if there is no vissible leak, try mo sa computerized 5 gas engine annalysis walang lusot yan,the machine will be able to detect the rootcause of your problem

ask ko lang if may nakagamit na sa inyo ng alumaseal radiator stop leak or quaker city radiator stop leak or any stop leak product? may leak yung rear plate ng cylinder block ko eh in between the engine block and transmission. it's a plate that separates coolant from the engine block to the transmission system. (ito yung initial diagnosis nung mechanic kanina pagsilip nya sa baba ng engine block, may leak ng coolant sa dulo ng oil pan gasket, between the engine and transmission.) option ko is to drop down the transmission to have that plate replaced, or use this stop leak product? ganon ka-complicated yung procedure ba talaga? any insights? magkakaproblem ba transmission ko non pag binaba? automatic yung akin eh sayang naman kasi ang ganda pa ng transmission ko now.
