May 22nd, 2014 07:00 PM #11update pala. recommendation ng shop:
1. pull down condenser and compressor. buksan yung compressor kung ok pa hub and bearing, lately kasi umingay na siya kahit wala yung kiskis sound or power loss. yung condenser lilinisin for possible clogs. cost: 7k
2. replace compressor. pag di na repairable ang stock compressor. cost: 9k including all other labors (pull down, freon, cleaning, retrofitting)
3. after fixing the compressor issue, add another condenser. ilalagay sa ilalim ng second row seats underchassis. this alone is an additional 6k and will take a whole day. di naman everyday car so i might as well skip this one. di masusulit yung 6k.
punta ko bukas.

May 22nd, 2014 11:35 PM #13namamahalan ako sa totoo lang. pero since may dalawang prominent members dito na nagrecommend, id take my chances with EDS. kesa naman dito sa next block a/c shops na di naayos yung a/c nung kakilala kong may van. sabi pa spray-an daw ng tubig yung condenser pag nakapark para lumamig. tsk tsk.
no matter how old the vehicle is, gusto ko ipaayos, ayoko ng remedyo lang.
comparing mang mario and EDS, mukhang mas maayos gumawa sa EDS lalo may talyer talaga sila. but that's just my first impression ha, never been a customer of mang mario. napadpad lang ako sa kanila nung pagagawa ko dapat yung unit kaso sunday nun sarado sila.

May 23rd, 2014 12:19 AM #15im actually contemplating on purchasing a brand new compressor instead. its valued at 10k-11k. maybe add 2-3k for the freon and labor? pakabit ko nalang sa kanila?
kaso dahil nga hindi naman to everyday vehicle, di rin sulit yung brandnew compressor. hay.
much dilemma, such spend. wow.

May 23rd, 2014 10:39 PM #17lol no compressor found.
just got home. my goodness, first time ko magpagawa ng aircon system overhaul. di ko alam kung normal ba yung naranasan ko o ewan.
9:00 am ako dumating, every worker is busy. full house, may dalawa pang ongoing sa kalsada. naumpisahan yung akin 10am. the tech assigned was sooooo slow. 5pm na di pa fully installed lahat ng parts. ang mga ginawa:
- pull down compressor, 2 evaporators, rear blower, condenser
- the condenser is one dirty boy. 1/2 cup of black dust/powder/sand yung naextract nung binomba. di pa ata nakaligo in 18 years hehe.
- hinang sa condenser. nagkaroon ng malaking leak, which was never there before it was cleaned. high pressure ang problema. how and when it got a hole i dont know. siguro nasobrahan sa linis.
lagi ako nakadikit sa technician, more because of my curiosity rather than lack of trust. the paranoid in me tells me sinadya nung tech butasin yung condenser ko dahil nainis siya kanonood ko. hehehe
anyway, 5pm na di pa napapaandar yung system. tinulungan na ng son-in-law yung tech para matapos. ayun 7pm all done. a/c is super cold, nag moisture na yung windshield. but the real test will be tomorrow, hopefully tirik ang araw.
3 months warranty on all parts except the condenser kung magleak uli.
gastos? P9500 for pull-down, cleaning, freon, drier, hinang sa condenser, surplus denso compressor, labor. additional P650 for the high pressure switch. i asked for a brandnew compressor, its a whopping 14,000!!

ang mahal talaga. inabot ka din pala ng maghapon para sa cleaning, repair, etc. pwede mo din ba ipost yan sa isang thread?

Just store it properly since it is flammable.
