Kaka-check up pala last week, no leaks s a system daw. Di rin uminit compressor binuhusan ang tubig.
Baffled with this. Please help. Car is an old 93 Corolla GLi.

September 29th, 2009 10:07 AM #2Ano daw ang low at high side AC pressures. Is there no problem with the compressor clutch. Baka yung compressor belt tensioner ay stucked-up.

gerbo, your "tik tuk" could be caused by one of the two: too low suction side or too high discharge side of the system. there is a compound pressure switch at the recievier dryer of your corolla. any pressure outside the threshold would trigger the "tik tuk" or short cycling

gerbo,
have pressure checks done first:
a. system pressure at rest
b. system pressure at idle speed once airconditioning system is stabilized(i.e. around 15 minutes after start up)
c. system pressure at around 2000 rpm
make sure you get both high and low side pressure garuge readings

As jick.cejoco is suggesting, kailangan talaga i-check ang system pressure for both suction and discharge.
As the owner, karapatan ninyong malaman kung anong klaseng repair ang ginawa sa A/C sytem ninyo.
1. Kailangan malinis ang lugar. Walang maraming kalat. Yung dumi
(contaminants) ang unang kaaway ng A/C system.
2. Technical Know How and Skill ng mga technician, it's true, maraming magaling mag-dismantle, kaya lang marami pa rin sa kanila ang kulang sa basic theory ng airconditioning.
3. Proper Equipment.
At least they have this basic but essential equipment for proper A/C servicing.
a. Manifold Gauge. (Malinis, walang crack ang mga
hose. Both high and low side are working properly.
c. Electronic Leak Detector. Mas mabilis ito at reliable kaysa soap and bubble method. Kung kailangan itaas ang pressure ng system for leak testing kailangan dry air or Nitrogen (OFN-Oxygen Free Nitrogen) ang gamitin para maiwasan ang moisture contamination.
d. Weighing Scale.

Puwede i try, 1. Palit air filter 2. Linis throttle body 3. Linis MAF sensor 4. Check spark...
high idle RPM at engine start
