ok lang ba mag lagay ng 2 auxiliary fan??nag inquire ako sa Twins Auto Aircon sa valenzuela 4500 daw dalawang fan Sanden brand....pano ba yon??mag lalagay daw ng wire sa compressor para sabay pag nag automatic ung aircon...ok lang kaya yon???btw for 2012 suzuki apv pala......no issue naman sa sasakyan I just want to put some extra fan for my peace of mind na hindi sya mag-init.

...or mas ok kaya na sa Denso nalang sa ako mag palagay since denso namn ang aircon at cooling system ng apv????

    ..thanks

I am not familiar with the APV, but I would assume that this is a front engined, rear wheel drive vehicle, correct? So apart from the engine driven fan, and the stock electric aux fan, you will still add two (2) fans more?

Over kill na ata sa aux fans yan?

It is a semi-bonneted van with a small 1.6L engine,,,,ung engine nya place under sa driver and passenger seats..pero ung radiator condenser nya nasa harap...ung radiator meron syang isang(1) dual speed na fan, when compressor engage the fan increased its speed...Im planning to put two(2) extra fan sa harap namn ng condenser kase may extra space pa between condenser and bumper..

I think it's unnecessary. Also, seeing that it's a new car, you don't have to worry about overheating for as long as you keep cooling system properly maintained.

I also think that you're likely to void the warranty if you do that.

I see. So stock set-up is one big dual speed puller (higop) fan. IMHO, as long as you keep everything in tiptop shape, you would'nt need to worry about overheating something, suffice to say that it is also a new vehicle (almost).

why mod your cooling system when your car is practically brand new and don't have issues. just save your money na lang para sa PMS nyan to keep it in tip top shape. sayang lang pera mo.

Lagyan mo din sir ng pilot light, para alam mo kung merong power yung aux fan mo.

I am not savvy with electronic diagram but my suggestion is to make sure the direction of airflow is correct - towards the engine.

    i agree.
and the solution may be quite easy. many of these are DC motors. however way they are installed, reversing the electrical connections, will reverse direction of blade rotation and the flow of air.

yes, the connection can be reverse, and also the blades of the aux fan i put, should be observe properly because of its inclination or angle placement, you have to try reversing the blades to compare the output air, mine need to reverse the blade to get the maximum air.

the FAN has 80 watts rating, so approx. 6 or 7 amps requirement, if im not wrong, hilander (my unit) has 40 or 50 amps alternator, so I think it can compensate the 7 amps. I plan to make it 2 to cover the whole condenser since currently it only cover the half, so 14 amps for the aux fan, turn it ON when needed, like traffic under the heat of the sun. turn it OFF at night.

btw, got the FAN at 650 Pesos.

Auxillary fan is a primarily cooling system when the car is stationary.

When your car start to move natural air-flow will be an additional scheme that will help cool down the condenser and radiator of your vehicle, and that will be less taxing to your cars battery. Its like having an imaginary fan blowing air in front of the car, so why add an additional fan in front that will block the natural air flow?

I understand this additional fan is for the condenser. I think the purpose is to get colder air from the aircon when the vehicle is stationary. One symptom of insufficient cooling of the condenser is that the air coming out of the aircon is not so cold when the vehicle is stationary but it will become cooler as it moves, and as you say, allow outside air to naturally cool the condenser.

Yes, the main purpose is when during stationary, AC is unable to sustain the coldness inside the CAR that is why I decided to DIY the said setup, well, based on the old thread here provided me this idea.

Putting, LAMP, thanks, I'll do that so I will be aware that its running.

AIR FLOW, on the diagram, its going to the Condenser, so it should be correct already.

    Thanks for the replies.
