May 29th, 2017 09:20 PM #1Guys ano mas ok between the 2? and should it be copper or plastic? Im about to replace my old radiator na kasi since na overhaul na to dati and lately lagi na nagooverheat car ko and pansin ko may mga rust particles na rin sa loob everytime I open the radiator cap. Its for my corolla 1997 gli. How much din ang labor for radiator replacement? and can you recommend a good shop? im in pasig/marikina area.

May 30th, 2017 02:37 AM #2Im using taiwan plastic 2rows sa 92 corolla. 4yrs na ata wala naman problem. Kunin mo 2rows mas marami tubig at mas malamig engine. Mas mahaba nga lang warm up mo.

May 30th, 2017 09:59 AM #3I would always prefer copper or metal radiators than plastics. Metals will even outlast your car if well taken good care of. First, do not use tap water as this is always the source of rust and mineral deposits. Always use distilled water mixed with a good brand of anti-rust, anti-boil radiator coolant.
Hope it helps.

May 30th, 2017 10:15 AM #5There is a reason bakit plastic top and bottom ang stock radiator. In the event of clogged radiator and mag overheat and sasakyan, puputok ang plastic para ma relieve ang pressure instead na ang engine head mo ang mag suffer which is mas costly kesa magpalit ka ng radiator. So nothing wrong with a plastic top radiator. Tatagal naman ang plastic radiator, iwasan mo lang buhusan ng tubig lalo na pag mainit ang makina kasi lulutong.

May 30th, 2017 11:16 AM #6plastic, aluminum and copper radiators, all have their advantages and disadvantages. google them, po.
the advantage of the plastic radiator, is its cheaper cost of manufacture. yun lang.
pressure overload? relief is via the radiator's relief valves or the radiator cap's pressure release mechanism.
isn't evercool locally manufactured? buy it, if one has to buy a new one. it's good for the economy.Last edited by dr. d; May 30th, 2017 at 11:26 AM.

A radiator guy (kanto kanto lang) installed a copper 4 rows radiator sa small body namin noon... Nag fit naman kaso maiskip...
I personally prefer copper kasi pwede gawin kahit saan...

it's not the cheapest around but it's pretty durable if maintained properly

Puwede i try, 1. Palit air filter 2. Linis throttle body 3. Linis MAF sensor 4. Check spark...
high idle RPM at engine start
