    MRV Aircon Parts & Supplies
    E. Rodriguez corner Monte de Piedad St., make a left turn from Tomas Morato it's on your left after Iglesia Ni Cristo.

I highly recommend the repair guys here. Honest and pulido gumawa, I already told them that I will be posting their services here. They are just freelance and they fix the vehicle beside the MRV shop. They were able to fix the problem with my pajero. Look for Philip and tell him that knew about them from tsikot.com and they will take care of you. Their number to follow.

may warranty. yes, free lancer sila but so far i have no problem dealing with them. very satisfied ako sa service nila. with regards sa parts, definitely pinaka mababa sila since one of the importers sila and dun din kumukuha ang mga "casa" ng parts. just look for philip and mention that your from tsikot.com

just remember to go to E. Rodriguez Corner Monte de Piedad street. Look for Phillip(payat) and Otep (kalbo) kase sila ang tingin kong magaling talaga magtrabaho. Labor and freon lang sa kanila the rest sa MRV mo na babayaran.

Am very glad everybody had a positive experience with Philip's crew.

Well I finally took the plunge and went there to see for myself. Had to replace the compressor as it was literally rusted out so you can only imagine the bill. Will withold final judgement until amay be after a month when things have settled down.

I will say this, though: have a quotation made in writing and make sure you have them itemize everthing that needs to be done and make sure both parties agree on the price. I learned my lesson the hard way with these guys. had to accept it nalang kasi I was so anxious on getting my aircon fixed.

Here's what they charged for an EE100 Corolla. Kayo na humusga kung mura or hindi:

Sanden TRS-090 compressor, brandnew, WITHOUT WARRANTY(!): 10k
quote for Sanden SD-507 compressor: 7.5K

    1 bottle 134 oil: 100 pesos
1 bottle 141B: 70 pesos. I googled it and it looks like its for flushing. They put it in a small mineral water bottle but they didn't use even half of it. I thought it was just water they poured down the pipes.

1 pc. drier: 250 pesos. Not sure kung mura na yan.

    3 pcs. o-rings * 9 pesos each: 27 pesos

1 pc expansion valve (eto yata yung nakadikit sa evaporator na mukhang brass fitting): 700 pesos.

    2 pcs o-rings * 12 pesos each: 24 pesos

(I thought it was a good idea to replace them o-rings while they're there anyway)

    Total: 11,171 pesos

    Labor breakdown:

    Install compressor
    Drier pull down
    Evaporator leak test
    Flushing
    Freon R134a
    general labor

    Price: 2800 pesos

Total: 13971 pesos. Walang tawad yan.

    Comments:

    - As many as 4 guys worked on my car at the same time which certainly saved time.
    - The people were generally nice although not really that friendly. Cordial is what I'd describe it. They would only talk if spoken to.
    - NAPAKAINIT sa lugar na yun. I suggest you do not bring your wives or girlfriends there unless they're working on their tan.

I hope I really wasn't ripped off, especially on labor. The money I spent with them was only a few pesos cheaper from what the other aircon shops gave as an estimate for everything including labor. Given that I went out of my way to go there, I wouldn't really recommend it unless you live near the New Manila area.

OK now I can say I was officially ripped off: wala nang lamig ngayon yung aircon ko at all and to think it has only been a grand total of 2 days.

At first nagtataka ako bakit di lumalamig. The MRV guy who installed the compressor and seems to be the head mechanic there told me na baka marumi yung condenser at ipalinis ko sa carwash. Tinaasan pa nila yung idle ng sasakyan ko, and had the gall to even say na sira sasakyan ko.

So eto ako, a complete noob sa car aircon, umuwi nang di man lang malamig ang aircon. After ipalinis yung condenser and making sure it's scrubbed clean, the next day wala na siya lamig at all. I felt so bad, I treated them well and paid them well yet they rip me off! I will try to go back on Monday and have them fix this up properly.

I was surfing this forum site to specifically find a good car aircon service shop dahil naloko na kami before when I chanced upon this thread. I respect others' opinions here pero for me and my family's experience, STAY AWAY FROM THESE TECHNICIANS SA MRV!!!! I dont want others to suffer the same fate.

Ang dami nilang in-estimate na papalitan, up to the compressor.

So sabi namin o di palitan nila yung kinabit nilang compressor. Ayaw daw palitan ng may-ari ng MRV. Of course we were surprised na ayaw palitan ng may-ari ng shop yung kinabit nya sa aming defective na part. Pinuntahan namin yung may-ari and nakipagtalo kami.

BUYER BEWARE!

I think it is better to spend a little more sa isang legitimate na car aircon service shop na merong warranty ang trabaho at alam mo kung sino ang babalikan kapag palpak ang trabaho.
