engine performance related with aircon?

Good day mga sir,

I noticed kanina while driving sa nlex yung engine ko parang taas baba yung rev niya,tapos pag pinatay ko yung aircon nagnonormal parang sobra yung output power(correct me if i'm wrong) na kinukuha ng a/c ,ano kaya po problema nito?.

and 1 more thing pa po..my biglang sumingaw sakin sa hood kanina,hindi siya nagoverheat pero parang aircon compressor yata..i'm not sure,can you give me some advice kung ano po ito and if so magkano ang magagastos...thank you sir.

Hey! I was also on the NLEX today. Around 9 to 10am NLEX-SCTEX to Subic and after lunch back to Manila.

If you think the A/C compressor is taking much more power from the engine than it normal should, you need to have your A/C system checked at a reputable car A/C shop.

Among other possible problems is the bearings on the compressor or related pulleys might have gone bad.

After "sumingaw", did you aircon still blow cold air?

sir GH di na po siya nagblow ng cold air..parang fan nalang..about the bearings okei naman siya kase bagong palit po..

sir pwede baka busted na yung magnetic clutch ng compressor

Obviously your A/C has lost it's load of freon. Have it checked in an A/C shop to see where it "leaked".

Mga magkano kaya ang estimate ng pagawa ng compressor,ask ko lang para ready na din for repair...thnx sir.

Brand new compressor will cost you between P15K to P20K. That does not include other stuff like labor and freon.

Surplus compressor would cost half of that.
