Toyota Innova Aircon Problem

I have a month old Innova J Gas with aircon problem. Pag nakabukas yung blower sa likod may pumapasok ng fumes comming from the outside. Pag sa harap lang bukas wala naman. Dinala ko na sa Toyota for warranty kahapon kaso walang nangyari. Sabi nila na escalate na raw to sa TMP and Denso.

As far as I know, ang blower ng Innova sa likod ay nasa third row sa right side. Kabila ng tools yon. So doon kumukuha ng hangin yung blower non. Kung may butas doon definitely doon manggagaling yung outside air non..pero di raw nila masolve pa

anyone na naexperience na ito?

baka may butas na kinakunan ng air yun rear aircon. dapat circulating air lang yan, except kung i-open mo yun vent.

tinanggal ng dealer yung rear bumper nya. may louver pala sya sa left and right. yung louver na yon eh may cover na rubber. imagine nyo na yung bintana sa bahay na may kurtina na pwedeng e angat. pag inangat yung rubber cover makikita nyo eh foam.

medyo misaligned yung louver kaya they straighten it and put additional foam sa loob non. I ask them kung bakit hindi sealed yon. kasi just beside it is yung blower ng aircon for the 2nd and 3rd row. and they mentioned about excess air should pass thru it pag sinara yung pinto. sabi ko eh di me tendency talaga na kumuha yung blower ng outside air. sabi naman nila yun daw talaga yung design non.

medyo nag improve yung condition after non. the fumes comming from the outside only enters the cabin pag nakahinto. pero pag tumatakbo eh hindi naman.

once again i ask them to fix it. i requested them to ask TMP to send their guys and they should look into this problem. and so the guys in TMP looked into my car and their finding was that my car is at par with the other innovas.

so i ask them what now? this is already escalated in toyota thailand to check if this is a design problem. its been five months now that im experiencing this problem. buti na lang lagi lang ako mag isa na gumagamit nito so yung front aircon lang ang nakabukas.

anyone experiencing this problem in your innova?

I don't experience that problem in my innova. Only problem was outside air goes in from the front of the aircon. Had it fixed under warranty. Have you tried bringing it to a nippondenso service center ?

I did ask them about this. They mentioned to me that they do not handle warranty claims and that it is the responsibility of the dealer.

The dealer told me that this is not an aircon problem but rather a design problem of the vehicle.

Tama, they're not affiliated with any of the dealers. However...

Since you've hit a dead end with your warranty claim I'm just suggesting an alternative. Maybe you can talk to them about your options, maybe have them make a diagnosis, but this should be your last option (warranty issues). Regarding the dealer claiming about the design flaw di ko lang alam, there might be a possibility that your unit is a lemon because i havn't read about an Innova with this problem (until this). Try to write a formal letter directly to TMP regarding this, they might be able to help.

from your description i think the louvre is at fault. pagkakaalam ko dapat one way valve/seal lang yan e. so dapat palabas lang yung bukas nyan, like when you close doors- it lets the air out para di sakit sa tenga yung pressure, dapat hindi humihigop ng air yan papasok.

we haven't encountered that problem with our innova J with almost 20K on it. however, i did have that problem with my EK civic (1996 model year). sometime nung nakaka-5yrs na ata ang civic nang napansin ko yan. (amoy usok kapag may truck sa harap, or amoy imburnal when we're over any of the pasig river bridges.) recently, nagpalinis ako ng aircon sa celtic (denso) sa may tomas morato. sila ang nakaayos ng problemang yan sa civic ko. ngayon ayos na ayos na. mukhang pareho ang problema e. hindi masyadong selyado ang parang vent to the outside (or from the outside, whichever way you look at it).

kaya kung ako ang nasa sa iyo, wag mo na tiisin ang pagamoy ng usok. punta ka na ng denso service center at sila na magayos. magkaka-high blood ka lang kung makikipagbuno ka sa toyota.

This is half true. Denso dealers are required to direct warranty claims to Toyota dealers. The reason is that Toyota wants to monitor all warranty claims. However, if for several attempts the Toyota dealer can not fix the problem, Denso dealers can deal with the problem after coordinating with TMP.If you have a problem with your Denso aircon, just PM me.

This is half true. Denso dealers are required to direct warranty claims to Toyota dealers. The reason is that Toyota wants to monitor all warranty claims. However, if for several attempts the Toyota dealer can not fix the problem, Denso dealers can deal with the problem after coordinating with TMP.If you have a problem with your Denso aircon, just PM me.

I have already coordinated this with the owner of koolpix (denso) and they helped me get denso to contact toyota pasong tamo and work together to isolate the problem. their conclusion is: its a design problem. that's why I requested toyota pasong tamo to bring the tmp guys and fix the problem. but unfortunately they havent got a clue yet on how to solve this thing.

kaya kung ako ang nasa sa iyo, wag mo na tiisin ang pagamoy ng usok. punta ka na ng denso service center at sila na magayos. magkaka-high blood ka lang kung makikipagbuno ka sa toyota.

question is if its a "design" problem, how come not all owners experience this?
