April 27th, 2009 07:04 PM #1Hello..
ask ko lang mga bossing and experts. im driving a crosswind, napansin ko kulang sa lamig aircon sunod lang sa panahon kung sobrang init hirap din.
advice sa akin, maglagay daw ako auxillary fan. para d daw hirap and mas mabilis lamig aircon. is it true? and paano yun sabay sa sa pag open ng AC or
have a different switch so if kulang lamig doon ko lang open? or sa thermostat if uminit makina lang?
another thing.. how frequent ba dapat cleaning sa aircon ng sasakyan. d ko kasi alam ang alam ko lang aircon sa bahay.
Pls give your insights.
thank you po.

auxiliary fan would greatly help. you can connect it directly sa compressor such that pagtakbo ng comp sabay na yung fan.
with regards to aircon cleaning, i normally do it when there is problem with the aircon such that freon need to be replaced para isang kargahan na lang.

I think no need na since wala talagang aux fan ang crosswind from the start depende na lang kung pang pasada or kita talagang tumataas ang temp. Subukan mo muna cleaning. How old is your crosswind? Mine is nearing 8 years old and haven’t been cleaned / serviced from the start hehe. btw I still have the stock Denso compressor

sa honda usually dalawa yung fan, isa for the condenser, isa for the rad.
i think in your case, the condenser is mounted infront of the rad so pag higop ng cool air nung belt drive fan mo, kasama na yun sa condenser and rad. there may be no need for an aux fan. but it depends, really. try having your aircon cleaned muna and see where it goes...

Add an aux fan only after the A/C system has been properly inspected and serviced. You can use the power from the other aux fan or A/C compressor clutch to trigger a relay and power up the 2nd aux fan. Don't forget to install properly rated fuses.

April 28th, 2009 01:06 PM #7Thanks all for the advice,,,
and sabi mechanic pag old na vehicle mas humihina yung hangin ng fan niya.

sir very cool pa naman (even 1/3 to 1/2 thermostat setting) kaya IMO no need na muna, i will just wait for some signs of inefficiency before going to mang mario . also my XTO has only logged 31K+ kms since nov '01.
when it comes to a/c i stick to "If it ain't broke or nagluluko, don't fix it" mahirap na.Last edited by XTO; April 28th, 2009 at 02:12 PM.
Thank you!
