July 30th, 2013 03:14 PM #11Sir nareremedyohan pa rin yan ganyan. Ganyan nangyari sa isang car namin civic, napabayaan na me screeching sound and dumating to the point na kapag magstart ng Car hirap na hirap na pati ang Starter to start the engine. Nung maibaba ang Aircon compressor the bearing is literally shattered and me tama na ang hub. The AC shop brought it to a Machine shop and they rebuild -sleeving daw and re-fitting of new bearings. The magnetic coil was also damaged and needed to be rewinded.

Yes it can be repaired internally but sometimes it may not be worth it because you'll never know if it will work as good as it once did.
Not all shops are willing to open up a compressor. And the hassle of pulling down and putting back a compressor if the job fails.
There's nothing bad in trying it, depende rin talaga sa skills nung mga gagawa. Medyo katakot lang na magka-back job pag sa aircon dahil costly talaga.
Come to think of it, baka mabenta ko pa yung lumang compressor as a surplus ko kung kaya pa maayos.

Same issue here. Lately, I heard a whirring sound pag start pa lang ng car. Went to Bangkal para mapatignan. According dun sa nag estimate, sira na daw ung magnetic. Oo na lang ako dahil di naman din ako familiar sa part na yun pero ipinakita nya sa akin na pag nakabukas yung aircon, hindi na umiikot ung outside part ng compressor. My trusted chop-shop este surplus shop in Banawe quoted me 3K for a surplus unit plus 1.3K for labor and charging. Appreciate your input. TIA
Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
