I just my car's a/c cleaned 2 weeks ago. The evaporator, cooling coil and blower were dismantled. No parts were replaced. The cleaning was mostly done on the cooling coil (using a chemical). The evaporator and blower were dusty and just cleaned with compressed air. The compressor was given a top-up of oil and the system was filled with refrigerant.

If there's anything to replace in an A/C cleaning job, it's usually the expansion valve. If you're lucky, you won't have to, but the dirt circulating in the system can get to such a level that a replacement may be necessary.
