guys ano kaya problema kapapalit ko lang evaporator, syempre kalalagay lang freon, bat kaya di na gaano malamig yung aircon?ganon ba talaga pag di na original medyo dina gaanong malamig ang labas ng hangin?

Probably what your mechanic has done is a quick fix. Obvious problem is an evaporator leak but there may be:
1. leak in the system also - I think they check out the joints with soap suds
2. the drier is 'soaked' up already needs replacement
3. undercharged freon - wrong freon type
4. is there something wrong with your compressor?
5. aux fan not working?

Pwede pa palang mag-refill ng freon dyan sa Pinas? Freon depletes the stratospheric ozone layer, allowing dangerous amounts of cancer-causing ultraviolet rays from the sun to strike the earth's surface. This is the reason why freon production was stopped in December 1995. Napakamahal ng freon refill dito sa US kaya most of the older cars converted their freon systems with R-134a.

Going back to the topic, I agree with wildthing..... ibalik mo dun sa gumawa.

Freon is very much available here. Production lang ang banned sa R12 so as long as the stockpiles are plentiful (and it is), R12 will remain popular. Either R12 or those flammable refridgerants.

malalaman mo lang yung difference ng orig sa replacement pag bilad talaga sa araw tapos talo yung aircon mo, that's my experience with locally-made cooling coils. pag gabi ok nman. pero i tried yung mga imported na replacements, they're good for the price. ok yung performance.

bka kulang lang sa freon yung a/c mo.

check mo muna yung sinabi nila, pero ang hinala ko, low quality yung evaporator na nilagay sa iyo, bad trip talaga yan pre, ganyan din sa akin, kaya sa next gen. cleaning ko, palit na ako ng orig na sanden evaporator.

is it tru n alum evaporators are cooler than brass/copper made ones? advantage kasi ng coper/bras evaporator e pede i repair

theoretically, i think it is. alums can conduct heat and sound better than copper and brass. yun nga lang talaga medyo manipis.

hmmm salamat mga pre!! pag gabi ok naman, pero tsinek naman sa mga leak yun ok naman, orig yung evaporator, yun ngal ang talagang mas malamig yung dati kesa ngayon, check ko rin mga dude at balik ko na rin patingnan ko din salamat uli!!
