help naman po....yung radiator ng CR-V ko namamawis na sa pagitan ng plastic top and yung kinakabitan nito(wala naman siyang malakas na tagas). A guy from the radiator shop told me na palitan na sa tanso yung plastic....I heard there are ready-built copper tops....Question lang....do i replace the whole radiator or yung top na lang?ano maganda brand ng replacement radiator....namamahalan kse ako sa charge nung guy...3k para sa top na tanso...thanks

few years ago, on my civic, it used to be P1500 for the copper top replacement ... but copper price has risen about 3 times its cost in 2005 (as indicated by the cost of electrical cables made of copper) ... so P3000 might be reasonable today ... copper top is still the least-cost alternative

reliable din naman ang copper basta magaling ang gagawa ... palit ng cap at pipinturahan din ng black para mukhang orig

While you're at it ipa-pressure test mo na rin cooling system mo to find other leaks. Baka hindi lang yun ang weak spot, so it would be useless to fix that when there are other problems too. Good luck.

Kung Denso ang radiator mo, look for them sa yellow pages, they have replacement parts.

walang copper ang Denso... They will replace it with Plastic din po... Ang advantage po ng plastic is 1st parang OEM parin 2nd there is a reason kung bakit plastic yun... kasi pag sobrang init na talaga puputok yung plastic and will save your c. Head....

^^^ I seriously doubt that theory.

Am using an Evercool now, bought from and installed by Speedyfix.

^^^ Search mo yung handle (nickname of the person you want to PM), then click it. May dropdown menu na lalabas and choose "Send a Private Message to ----"

Use the Search option dito sa forum and type the name of the person na gusto mong i-PM. HTH

sa tagal na din ng crv mo. normal din na ma-worn out ang radiator.. either replace the whole thing or pa tanso mo up and down.. tignan mo nalang kung san makakatipid.. advantage sa tanso is tatagal sya ng matagal talaga ksi masmatibay na sya.. pa overhaul mo na rin pag nagpa replace ka ng tanso

matic rads tend to be 1500-2k more than the manual counterparts.

    Speedyfix,
May i request for a picture?
Ano po actual setup for A/T CRV 1998?
May i use my OEM Cap? Or Evercool narin?
How much na po ngayon ang Complete charge/price sa inyo?
    Pressure test din po ba?
    Thank you.
