aircon's hissing sound

lately kapag switch-on ko yung aircon ng oto, may parang hissing sound sya then eventually nawawala na yung sound or i just get accustomed to it, di ko sure. pero eversince napuna ko yung sound na yun, humina ang aircon ko, at may times pa nga na parang blower na lang. ano po kaya problema? bago ko man lang dalhin sa a/c shop, para at least may idea na ako.

ipa leak test mo evaporator mo, malamang may singaw yan, better yet, ipa leak test mo buong A/C system mo.

Pero sa tingin ko sa evaporator yan, meron singaw.

may lamig pa rin naman sir afrasay... kaso di na sya sing lamig ng dati... malayo kumpara sa dati.

kung pin hole lang unti-unti ang labas ng freon. pag tanghali mainit yan pero pag pa hapon lumalamig. tingnan mo yun glass window sa receiver dryer kung madaming bula. kung madami, kulang na ang freon mo.

ahhh... ok... na-obserbahan ko nga yun eh. maputla yung pagka-green nung freon... tapos pag-on ng aircon, mabula na sya... puro puti na lang.

5...4...3...2...1 mauubos na freon mo. wag mo ng gamitin aircon baka masira pati compressor mo.

I just had my evaporator replaced. Since then, there's been a hissing sound. What could it be? The guy at NRS double-checked everything after the installation. So, it is doubtful that it's the evaporator.

hissing sound? could be the expansion valve in action.

same here ... not sure about the interval ... say every 5 minutes it hisses for about a second ... the glass is very hazy, cant tell if I need to recharge but it's still cool though. How much for that thing with the sight glass?

if the hissing sound comes from the expansion valve, is that good sign or a bad sign?

ah ok... baka kasi bigla na naman akong mag-panic eh. magtatag-ulan pa naman... dusa kapag walang aircon.
