mga sir pa help po, yung hyundai grand starex ko kapag unang bukas ok naman ang aircon, sobrang lamig, pero after 15-30mins bigla na lang mawawala yung lamig, nung sinilip ko yung compressor nag turn on and off sya every 2-3secs. chineck ko yung aircon relay nya ok naman kaya lang may tick sound akong naririnig tuwing mag on at off yung compressor, malakas naman yung auxillary fan nya, pansin ko rin nung lumalamig pa sya hindi humihinto yung andar ng compressor, hindi sya nag automatic off kahit sobrang lamig na sa loob ng sasakyan, san po kaya problem neto mga sir?

Your system is short cycling. Have a tech check the both the low and high side pressures with engine at 2000 rpm. The low side should be between 28- 35 psig. If it is lower the low side may be restricted or the system under charged

check the line after the filter drier canister. if it is cold then you have a restricted filter drier.
check the sight glass. if there are bubbles then your system is undercharged.
if not these 2 then you probably have a defective temp sensor.

It is also possible that your system is overcharged. Did you have your Aircon fixed lately, like charging the freon?

or it could be your high/low pressure switch is acting up.

maraming salamat po sa mga sumagot, update ko lang po, napansin ko ngayon kapag front aircon lang yung nakabukas ok sya hindi nag-off yung compressor, pero pag binuksan ko na yung rear aircon dun na sya nag off and on yung compressor, kapag pinatay ko ulit yung rear aircon and after 30secs to 1 minute ok na ulit sya. pinasok ko na tong starex ko sa hyundai north edsa pero di nila makita yung problema. kulang lang kaya sa charge ng freon or overcharge? or baka meron pa ibang pwede cause ng on and off ng compressor?

the best way is to do a pressure check i just mentioned. cut the rain dance. cut the guess work. observe the pressures when the event happens. check the static pressure and compare with the pressure/tempreature chart

Pressure - Temperature Chart for HFC-134a

go to another shop who can.

    by the way...............

what were the pressures at around 2000 rpm with both front and rear units on?

is your system manual or automatic (climate control)?

Dammnnn If I were you rereklamo ko yan sa SA ng casa. Imagine sa halip na mafixed ang aircon mo they could potentially induce another fault due to that overcharging of your AC system. Think of gross incompetence, ayaaayyy. Masakit pa nun bumayad ka para halos sirain ang AC mo :lasing

For knowledge purposes the gases inside the system other than R134a are called (NCG) non condensable gases. If you use the pressure/temperature chart, match the pressure against the temperature closest to or that of the containment. If the pressure is higher than that of the P/T chart at a given temperature the refrigerant is not pure or is lower than 98% purity

*jick. Sir you seems to be very knowledgeable on HVAC. Can you pls confirm that with the current car ACU refrigerant, you can't just do a top up or refilling of refrigerant? Techs says magkaron daw imbalance ng freon content kaya need to depressurize and evacuate the whole system pa . Appreciate if you could share theory on it😊

Use the P/T chart and measure the ambient temperature within ten feet of the car. Then, with the system running and stabilized, check the low side pressure and the outlet center register temperature

Curious lang ulet how to measure yun outlet center temp.? Say sa car vent how far and what measuring instrument kelangan? And you need to measure din pala ambient temp by what type of instrmnt ulet?

You can use cooking thermometer, I/R non contact thermometer, DMM with a thermocouple probe as long as the range includes 30-120 degrees fahrenheit

maari bang ma recalibrate (or marepair) yung lumang compressor ng kotse para lumamig ulit yung aircon?

kung meron, mga magkano ang aabutin?

i read an artricle on that, some time back.
the (branded) name claims they can do it. but they added that the repair might not last as long as the original. maybe as short as a year only... but it's a lot cheaper than a brand new compressor.
sorry. i can't remember the name...

my two bits' worth? buy a new compressor, po.
