Warp cylinder heads. This could be prone to oil leaks around the gasket areas. Your engine will not necessarily blow as soon as it overheats. Some vital parts could be damaged in the process.
expect a top overhaul. lalo na kung sobra ang pag overheat niyan. worst would be a cracked engine block.
Change the oil. Oil gets degraded by high temperatures.

this happened to me around 2 months na.
tumatakbo pa naman yung kotse. mukhang ok pa naman.
what do you suggest I do?
BTW the reason for the overheat is because nasira yung radiator hose sa ilalim. nauubos yung tubig kapag nag-simulang mag-high pressure.
So far from home to office walang overheat. pero last wednesday nagpunta kaming antipolo around 11:00am. nakita tumaas yung temp. so I decided na to stop the car. ayaw ko na maulit yung dati.
Please advice naman.

well, if the car is running fine, malamang wala namang nasira sa makina.
Check the gasket between you engine block and cylinder head. Pag walang tagas ng oil safe pa yan gamitin. Pano bang overheat nangyari; tumigil mag-isa ang makina mo or pinatay mo bigla before it reaches max engine tolerance?
Dapat kasi let the engine idle after removing the radiator cap (read: dangerous!) then pour water around the radiator to cool it off and pour inside to let the steaming water out. before shutting down the engine in a hot state.

guys, i have been told that splashing water on the rad and the engine area when close to overheat isnt advisable.... turning off the engine when close to overheat is advisable or not?
muntik na ren ako mag overheat, had white cloud coming out of the exhaust. muka naman ok ang kotse ko (still runs fine)... im not sure kung may tagas sa oil though. sometimes may droplets of oil, sometimes wala. might be expecting a top overhaul anytime soon... all of this nangyari dahil sa katangahan kong isara yung coolant reservoir... ayun nauubusan ng tubig... bwizet.
Nag-overheat na din minsan Trooper namin bago nagpalit ng radiator. Na-degrade nga ang langis. Actually naubos ang langis kaya change oil agad.
It's best not to turn off your engine during overheat. Turn on the A/C para umaandar din ang auxillary fan to cool off faster the radiator. Then paglumamig ng kaunti ay remove carefully the radiator cap and add coolant/water til full.![]()
Na alala ko last Sept 20 FUNA RUN.. ang over hear ako buti nalang dami tumulong sakin.. sumagad talaga sa MAX yung temp gauge ko... So far di ko pa na changed oil ulit...Taka lang ako pag High REV lang naman ako na uubusan ng tubig sa radiator.. mostly pag long ride.. pero city driving OK naman..
bigla na lang namatay eh. hindi ko na maistart. so tulak ako hanggang pinaka-malapit ng gas station.
natuyuan yung radiator. tapos the next morning I discoverd na sira pala yung radiator hose sa ilalim. so palit agad
napansin ko din, mga 3/4 pa lang yung temp eh ayaw na mag-start. siguro ok din yun at least di sya sumagad.

I think it's better to use a basahan. ilagay sa raditor cap then open mga 1/8 turn lang para sumingaw. tapos yung tubig na tatapon eh sa basahan and di malakas kasi 1/8 lang. tapos pag mahina na ang singaw 1/8 turn ulit, then paulit ulit lang. pag mainit basahan eh busuhan ng tubig ang basahan.

Pag kulang ang tubig na dumadaloy sa loob ng makina at radiator, malakas din makapag-painit ng makina ang extra load ng aircon compressor.
Kung butas ang hose either upper or lower, mas makakakabuting i-byahe ang sasakyan na walang radiator cap. Para maiwasan maubusan kaagad ng tubig, less pressure. Pansamantala, balutan ng electric tape ang butas na hose hanggang sa makaabot sa tindahan na may pagpapalitan.

check mo water pump mo cuz i had the same problem before while running long drive temperature is goin up while in city driving coool lang.
How would you know kung ok pa ang water pump? ako kasi nung nagpunta ako ng Antipolo umakyat ng kaunti yung temp ko. so hininto ko na. natakot ako baka di na naman umandar.
di ko lang alam kung dahil sa aircon, long drive or tanghaling tapat which causes my car na uminit.

di ko lang alam kung dahil sa aircon, long drive or tanghaling tapat which causes my car na uminit.
kapag over five years na siguro ang water pump, needs replacement na. tinutubuan kasi ng scales yung mga propelers niya from corrossion na mula sa tubig. hindi na maganda ang performance niya to circulate the water from the engine back to the radiator.
nangyari na rin yan kasi sa lancer singkit ko dati.
replacement at di na original mitsu yung pinakabit ko nuon.
