Maybe you are fortunate to have a section that will calibrate, certify, and re certify parts.
How many mechanics have proper training in metrology?
You are very lucky you have access to proper instruments that you can repair a part
back to reliable use.
As for us out there, we remove and replace and that is it.
Surplus or oem, so long that it still works.
