The car is Civic Vti 97 manual.

The compressor clutch engages intermittently. I put a tester at the input of the clutch and verified that the power to the clutch is also intermittent. Tried to put the radiator fan relay (same as the AC clutch relay) on the fuse box and the problem still persist.

So the unverified source could be the A/C pressure switch, thermostat, ECU or clogged lines (results to high pressure). But what puzzles me is the abrupt and intermittent clutch engaging.

I would just like to solicit some tsikoteers to share their experiences regarding the same problem in order for me to know the most probable cause of my problem at least based on probability.

    Thanks.

Is it bad if the compressor switches on and off at short intervals, like say every 15 seconds regardless of whether the vehicle is idling or in motion? Kung masama sya, ano magiging consequence nito in the long run sa air conditioning system at makina?

I had a general cleaning performed on my van's AC system yesterday. One of the complaints I had was that the compressor doesn't shut off automatically, naka-on sya palagi. Kaya nagkabit yung technician ng manual thermostat.

Yun nga lang, ngayon, every 15 seconds yung pag-on and off nya. So is this a problem or not?
