We had our car aircon serviced a couple of times, pagbalik ok naman, but after a week or two nawawala na ang lamig. What could be the cause of this?

April 11th, 2005 12:31 AM #5lately naging problema ko rin ang a/c ... "2 weeks wala na ang lamig" ... turned out to be very minute leak sa evaporator ... unang leak/pressure test pumasa, hindi lumabas ang leak, so ibinalik ang evaporator at kinargahan ng freon ... 2 weeks later nawala na ang lamig ... checked out compressor and pipe lines, ok naman ... ibinaba uli ang evaporator, it took about 10 minutes under air pressure under water before the leak appeared ... super liit ang leak, parang tuldok lang yung bubbles

leak yan. kung yung dating gumawa e walang leak tester (as in they just remove the a/c parts then pressurize under water lang to look for bubbles) then they might not find the leak. lalo na pag ang leak sa compressor seal dapat yun may leak tester na gamit. it is a gas detector especially made to detect freon gases.

or use a UV leak detector kit, u inject UV dye into ur system then use UV light to detect leaks. i have one n it works wonders, can even be used on other kinds of fluid leaks. bought one online for $100+
