99 Civic temperature problem

I need advise on my 99 vti civic. Minsan kasi ung temp. gauge lumalagpas sa half, minsan almost 3/4 na. Then after a few seconds it will go down ulit sa half mark. This happens with no pattern sobrang random. Minsan madalas minsan naman 1 week na di siya nagloloko. Ano kaya may problem? Baka naman meron sa inyo naka experience na din ng ganito pa share naman po ng solution.

The car first encountered ung almost 3/4 na temperature mga 3 months ago. Dinala ko agad sa kasa and it turn out na may maliit na crack ung radiator. They put in a new radiator then sinabay ko na din ung water pump & thermostat . Ung fans mag 2 years pa lang and galing din sa casa. Then after a month or more nag paramdam na ung temperature.

try checking your temperature sending unit bro. i had a problem similar to yours before on my ek & that was one of the problems

Sir baludoy thank you po sa respond. Sabi niyo po "one of the problems" ano po ung iba?

Ung car po dinala ko na kahapon sa honda. Di na ako nakatiis. Medyo worry kasi baka lumaki ung sira. Kaso till now hindi pa din nila ma figure out kung ano problem. They tried daw to run the car kahapon pero normal naman daw ung temperature hindi daw tumaas. Observe pa daw po nila till tomorrow ulit.

Ano ano po ba ung mga temperature sending units? Wala po kasi ako masyado alam sa auto.

observe mo kung ang gauge mo ay just above the halfway mark kailangan mag on ang cooling fan mo any moment

around 3/4 possible cooling fan switch ( thermo switch)

check mo rin ang coolant level mo after a week

kung nagbawas , head or gasket nag cause ( basta walang external leaks)

to go deeper kailangan na ng scanner

from scanner temperature data dun malalaman kung match ang temp gauge at coolant sensor readings

from this point mag start ang further diagnostics

ok thank you po sir bambino. The fan naman po is working properly. Un nga lang feeling ko minsan delayed kaya minsan halos mag 3/4 ung temp. Then this delays are not regular. There are days that I'm driving all day but the temperature never leaves the half way point.

maybe radiator leak or try checking the hose's too.

replace the thermostat and thermoswitch sabay.
