Shop still exists.
Just an update. Went there yesterday after a fruitless search for an alternative to the costly honda casa recommended repairs which include replacing the magnetic clutch and pulley assembly (about 30k), and other shops in nearby Global City which quoted approximately the same price (one quoted a 15k compressor replacement which cost about 60k in casa).
Anyway, I couldn't bear the trouble anymore as the symptoms fast became non-intermittent any longer; it just takes 1 hour or more of driving in stop and go traffic (not necessarily heavy but normal in Metro Manila) for the a/c to lose cooling and the tachometer to register 2k rpm in idle.
Jun-Jun was there. It took just a little less than 4 hours for pull-down of compressor, evaporator, and blower. Leak test. Clean up. Removal of a washer/spacer from compressor. Reinstallation. Refilling of freon. Total cost was 2k, including tip.
Tatagal pa raw yong compressor ko. Hopefully. Got to test it yesterday in a more than 2 hour driving in Metro amidst the holiday rush and traffic. City drove fine all along the way.
Just giving feedback.
Also, masinop at maingat at malinis magtrabaho dito sa shop, Ch-One. Laking tipid. Thank you.

As per receipt, here are the particulars:
CH2 Auto Aircon

Tel numbers: 279-8469 / 881-8956 / 881-5635. Nabura ko na yong cell ni Jun. Try mo yong mga landlines na yon. k.
Update: after almost 2 months, ok pa rin yong performance ng a/c. wala na (pa rin) yong 'sumpong' described in this thread.
suggestion. you might try the local sarplas shops. the items will probably be painted in the color...
