Mga ka-tsikot at naka-innova, any experience regarding this, baka may maipapayo kayo. Marikina area po ako.

    Tia

    No, dont do it!

My mom's 04 Altis had it's evaporator cleaned because the blower isn't as strong as before... 1 year later the evaporator started leaking coolant... had to have it replaced costing 17k.... the dealer estimate was 19k...

The best thing you could do is wait for the Toyota Summer Promo for the Aircon units of Toyota Vehicles, if you really want to have your aircon serviced...

Recommended na at least once a year ma linis ang evaporator. part ito ng preventive maintenance.

Since your innova is an 2005 model, most of these models do not have an air filter build-in, but to be sure, remove you glove compartment cover, and look on a rectangular shape cover (around 1-1/2 inches by 9 inches) on top of this probe using a long thin object to find out if there is indeed a filter (aircon not turn-on). If equip with a filter, then clean or replace this one.

If there no filter, then removal of the evaporator is a must to unclog it (requires the removal of the dashboard). Most of the leaking will occur on an evaporator due to aluminum corrosion by the trapped dirt). So to prevent a more expensive repair, then cleaning is a must.
