Out-dated / low quality tint installation technique

Hey guys!

Are you not bothered by how low and out-dated the level of tinting here in the Philippines? Like these tinteros from the casas and established auto accessories shops are still unable to fully tint all the way up the entire window glass, always leaving a gap and then uneven pa cuts in some areas.

Maybe its an OC thing but then again window tinting requires a delicate and careful procedure which I don't see local tinteros doing at all. I see cars being tinted along the side of the road like auto shops in banawe, where dusts and whatever tiny debris are flying around I mean how can you expect a proper tint install like this right?

And then some even brag how fast they can tint and I'm like "Asswipe! Mabilis nga pero bakit hindi pantay cut at may dust sa loob ng tint?!" In my mind lang ofcourse.

my casa-installed tints look ok... they're nine years old...

and, i think, tinting all the way to the edge of the window glass might not be a good idea.. the tip of the window glass is where there's a lot of friction rubbing.. after a few days of use, you may not like the scuffing that will begin to show up there...

i am not bothered since I do not have the same problems as yours. And I dont see how low and out-dated the tinters here in our country since what I am seeing in the roads are properly tinted cars.

maybe you paid cheap so you got it cheap as well

i had my tint installed by an authorized shop with a dedicated air-conditioned tinting room. tints are neat and properly installed. no dust problem.

i agree that tinting up to the edge of the glass is not necessary and may cause a problem in the future. but up to you if you want to do it like that.

it is you're decision if you want to go cheap and have your tint installed on the streets. you get what you pay for.

There are alot of good tinteros out there naman, daming specialists. I'm pretty happy with my casa installed tints, no compalints.

On the contrary, Im actually hoping to find professional tint shops that has complete equipment including tint room and properly trained tinteros. My being OC will never alllow me to go for those I mentioned, even if free.

Btw, all our cars are tinted by the casa with 3m tints upon purchase. I've personally seen their tintero tinting cars in their casa garage/car park. And while the outcome is decent, the process and procedure isn't exactly professional grade. And ofcourse can't tint the windows fully up to the top.

Yes, I get it, may rubber sealing that rubs at the glass everytime we roll the windows up and down but tints these days are not what they used to be. Tints of today are tougher and can withstand the said rubbing/friction. So not really a valid excuse for me atleast.

Im glad your happy with your casa installed tint, Im ok with mine din naman but I just feel like caveman technique pa din mga tintero dito. Casa tintero included.
