Cracked windshield!!!

This morning, while passing by C-5, someone threw a stone on to my car and hit my windshield. Nagkaroon sya ng crack which is about 2 inches in diameter. Nare-repair pa ba to? if so, saan kaya? and kung alam nyo yung price paki-include na rin...

Patulong na lang...please.

alam ko nare repair yan. may mga nakikita ko na ads sa Buy and Sell na nagrerepair sila ng cracks. kaya lang i'm not so sure kung effective ito. ang sigurado ko ay kapag di yan naayos, hahaba pa yang crack. so better have it repaired asap.

marami talaga namamato sa c5. ang modus nila kasi ay babatuhin nila, then kapag huminto ang sasakyan ay hoholdapin na nila yung mga nakasakay. kaya if this happens, DONT stop kung ok pa naman ang vision mo...

You might wanna try KARRGLASS along banawe.

Though their windshields are not original but made in Taiwan, reasonably priced. :D

Don't forget to put silicons on the rubber channels when you plan to change the windshields. :!:

Any one with an idea on how much a windshield cost? Kahit Taiwan o local lang basta medyo mura. Wala kasi talaga sa budget e. Its for a Civic EK 96.

Novus is a glass repair service franchise, meron sa Ziebart at meron din sa CATS.. there are other smaller shops that offer it rin so shop around... Pero kung kabado ka, kuha ka nalang bago sa Aguila

Yung friend ko nagpalit ng winshield ng EK 96... surplus cost 5k to 6k dito sa Baguio. Probably cheaper in Manila.
I had mine replaced sa honda tarlac last year & it cost around 28k... buti nalang naka comprehensive insurance ako... so binayaran ko 2k participation lang

kung 2" diameter ang crack, i would advice to have it replace na lang dahil iyong repair is good only for small cracks.

Bad trip talaga diyan sa C-5. Ingat kayo dun sa bandang fort bonifacio, paglampas ng Kalayaan. Kala ko rin before galing lang sa mga gulong ng sasakyan na nasa harapan ko yung mga batong tumatama sa akin. Pero napapansin ko tinatamaan lang ako ng bato pag nasa outer lane ako tsaka me tumatama kahit wala akong kasunod.

You better have it replaced. Kahit Novus, bumabalik pa rin yung crack. Sa kaka-repair mo, it will cost more than replacing it. Get the replacement para mas mura. Yung laminated na kunin mo para matibay, di nga lang kasing clear ng tempered.

hey bluesman! better to have it replaced na lang, better to invest in getting a new windshield instead of regretting later on kapag may masamang nagyari sa yo or your family.

I already checked with the insurance company and they said its covered. Yippeeee!!! participation lang babayaran ko which is 2k...papalitan ko na lang ng bago...affidavit lang daw ang kailangan...

Cocski, mga 1 kilometer after the c5-kalayaan intersection ako inabot...yung may mga squatter na sa gilid...buti nalang hindi nabasag yung buong windshield, otherwise mas malaking aksidente inabot ko..

Good to hear that it's still covered by your insurance. :wink: Mas nakatipid ka na, orig windshields must've cost 8K++. Doble ingat na lang sa susunod na daan mo dun, baka maging suki ka nila sa mga stoned-windshield gang.

good for you ako naman nabasag windshield ko along expressway kasi po mainit tapos malamig aircon
covered din ng insurance,pero sila na rin gumawa ng affidavit, kakatuwa para ako si ace ventura naka labas ulo habang nag dri-drive, nung nakuhanan na ng picture saka ko lang inalis windshield
