Looks like another "Chinese crossover" is coming...

    Volkswagen T-Cross

The Chinese market T-Cross was unveiled on 25 October 2018. It is manufactured and marketed by SAIC-VW and adopted the long-wheelbase body like the Brazilian T-Cross. It features a different front and rear bumpers to adapt with the Chinese market taste and trends. It is available in two engine options, which include 1.4-litre TSI which makes 148 hp (150 PS; 110 kW) and 1.5-litre MPI with 113 hp (115 PS; 84 kW) of power output. It went on sale in April 2019.

If priced/equipped correctly, it should give the Territory competition.

Hope they will price it properly this time, or this will be sitting standstill, sleeping on VW showrooms. This should be compete with small CUVs from Geely, MG, Chery, GAC and even the Ford Territory.

I guess the T-Cross is more reasonable to buy over the City Hatchback.

    No android auto? In 2021?

Sana turbo... like the Chinese competition.

    Would be perfect.

It means it has the manual override option, same principle as paddle shifters.

IMO, lack of turbo is ok. Based on the spec sheet, this is a bit smaller than the Coolray.
(wala din naman Turbo yung BR-V, Xpander and Rush)

Lack of Android Auto is surprising.

Compared against the Coolray, mukhang talo yung T-Cross in terms of features and performance.

Still a better option over an overpriced City Hatchback or Yaris.

Why didn't Volkswagen PH offer the T-Cross with turbo power? | Autoindustriya

Well, according to Josh Altarejos, head of Product Strategy & Planning Division of Volkswagen Philippines, the naturally-aspirated 1.5-liter engine has sufficient power. He added that it is enough for both highway and city driving.

But perhaps the biggest advantage the 1.5-liter has is that it's shared with the 2021 Santana. That means engine parts can be shared between the two models, reducing costs and ensuring constant parts availability.

    Mentioned this earlier...

I feel that AC Industrials is following the strategy of TMPC

Different cars with same engine will mean same parts and same training for local technicians.

    The chinese-Malaysian-Swedish crossover outperformed the German-chinese T-cross.
