I'm buying a new car soon and I'm choosing between the volkswagen beetle(2ND HAND) and suzuki swift (BNEW). I'm more interested in the beetle though. tanong ko lang, magkano ba un? is it worth it? and mahal b parts nun in case magkaprob?

January 11th, 2007 08:55 PM #5Kaya siguro binebenta yung Beetle kasi may problema or not satisfied yung 1st owner? And I think that's really a bad place to start.... Why will you be selling a well-loved, iconic, nostalgic, head turner???? So probably it has problems...
Iwas sakit ulo... Go for the bnew Swift... you will also see people turning heads to check this ride...

overall ok naman to as a toy car nothing more
performance so so lang ... 2.0 engine what can you expect
the price of the bnew beetle is way above that ! nasa mga 1.8m ang 1.6l then the cabriolet turbo is around 2M plus

I have recently restored my Silver 2000 2.0 VW New Beetle named "Sylvie" and believe me, restoring one is not a joke! Grabe ang mamahal ng parts! 
They said before that its "The People's Car" but then again its not! I'd rather call it "Some People's Car" (hehehehe)
I changed a lot of stuff inside already but with original parts such as the ash trays, cup holders and some buttons that needed replacement. I even placed a steel plate to protect underneath the car since its too low, the tendency of hitting something underneath is 50-50. I also changed the headlights to white 6000k HID, park lights in white LED, yellow Hallogen for the hi-beam and yellow 3000K for the fog lamps...
Hay, I thought of selling her but then again, I would rather further restore her na lang! I will soon upgrade her audio system and hopefully before the year ends, maisali ko na sya sa car show!
