I need a bit of help. I'm going home 2 weeks from now to finally finish my studies, so that means I'll be staying a while. I need a ride. My heart was set on getting something JDM, but now, I dont feel like paying something every month. Im thinking of getting something cheap, then just modify it the way I want it. I was thinking of getting an early Civic Hatchback, then slap a B16 in it. I have been/driven a HB with a B16, and I like the way it pulls. it only had basic bolt-ons(I/H/E), the handling needed some work, but still it tickled my fancy. naa bay mga shop sa cebu who'll do a decent job at swapping engines? I remember seeing here that the engine should cost around 55-60,000K not including labor. maybe I'll do the swap myself since I have an uncle and who's 2 son's are mechanics as well. asa man makapalit sa engine? kanang completo na(engine, trans etc...). any help would be greatly appreciated.

Di ko lang sure about Cebu but I heard that parts and engines are abuntant there kse mas mababa duties and taxes there compared to here in Manila and Subic. Madami din magandang rides na import sa Cebu! I suggest that you get in touch with the Cebu Tsikoteers about their opinion as well. Bili ka na lang ng Evo or Skyline na converted dyan kung kaya ng budget mo! Mas mura compared here. hehehe!

Kung ok lang sa yo, madami din Korean cars sa Cebu. Mas mura and cute din naman. Nakita ko sa Cebu yung Kia Avella, available in sedan and HB. Sabi sa kin ng taxi driver mga Php100k yun and maayos na din. Madami din parts, pero sa Cebu lang. Gusto ko nga sanang magdala nyan sa Manila kaso baka mahirapan ako sa parts. On top of that, I've seen only 3 Kia Avellas here in Manila since my vacation in Cebu. That was May.

thanks russ. yeah, im thinking about an EVO VII or VI, I just dont know kung magkano . I've driven my friends EVO VIII, STi, S2K, and an M3, all great cars. my decisions aren't really etched in stone yet, so im still open for suggestions. I already have someone from this forums who I'll be giving a call/email once I get back to cebu. they are importing JDM cars and converting them, so for sure I'll be checking it out.

Sir if you wanted a "toy car" hard to find ang civic hatchback specially in cebu. A friend of mine who's into drag racing in cebu (Neil L.) estimated me that a USDM (not JDM) Civic Hatchback EK (probably this is the one with the B16 engine) could reach as high as P600k....minor modification to full-race capability....ang base car will reach cebu at a nearly P300-450k (half cost)....

If you want a "race car" why not buy a "race car" breed oto (BMW Z3 and miata for example) instead of a regular car na gagastusan mo pa just to become a race car?!?

Pasalubong! hehehehe! Actually, Makati boy talaga ako. I have an uncle there sa Cebu City which I visit yearly as a stopover going to my province in Mindanao (Oroquieta City near Ozamiz).

Hanap ka na lang pag-dating mo sa Cebu. I'm very sure na madaming magagandang tsikot ngayon! BTW, my friend is selling his 1989 BMW 520i for Php350k. Baka interested ka! BTW, I may go there maybe December (kung mura ang plane), samahan pa kita!

50 - 100 yung pirata at yung original hindi uso sa atin yun.... wala ko kabalo kung palay bajad sa pag patuli..... Iwan mo na lang yan, bili kna lang ng xbox360 karong 11.22.05. Dunno kung same date ba ang release dinha sa Pinas.

the thing is.... the only games I play on Xbox are sports games, and I only play football . and its kinda stupid that micro$oft is releasing 2 versions of the xbox360, and games for this next gen consoles aren't gonna be cheap. I heard that for 1 game, its gonna cost around $70 dollars
