Slow Page Loading

Did you notice that the tsikot.com webpages load very slowly? Even after several page refreshes, it takes me more than 5 min. to view a thread or page. Is there something wrong with tsikot's server?

It is a bit slow. What used to be almost instantaneous now takes a few seconds. Going from the main Tsikot Forum page (with SB) to this page took 9 sec whereas before, it was much faster. This on a cable modem.

Aha! So hindi lang pala ako ang may problem.

It also used to be instantaneous here, but now it takes anywhere from 30 secs to 1 minute to load, sometimes more than 5 mins pa nga, since last week pa.

Akala ko ISP namin, but when I pinged tsikot.yehey.com, parating nagta-time out, so I guess its the site mismo

It's a Tsikot.com thing lately. Sometimes the site's totally inaccessible. I usually just go to another site and come back and try to visit later.

we are aware of the situation and this issue will be addressed in the near future. this unfavorable development is due to tsikot.com's unprecendented growth in membership, activity and resources usage.

we will soon have a downtime (to be announced soon) to address several server issues. we will also take this opportune time to implement an upgrade to our bulletin board and classifieds systems to optimize page loading and improve features.

rest assured, tsikot.com is listening to your inputs and concerns. we continue to appreciate them and are doing everything to address such. we value your participation and contribution in our community and this is the least we can do to express our gratitude.

mga mods,

baka pwedeng i-analyze ninyo ang car finder ad section. me napansin ako na me mga ads na more than 2 years old na pero pwede pa ring i-browse.

i recommend that the ads be allowed to run for 3 months (or as determined by the mods). after 3 months ay pwede nang i-purge o i-archive ang mga ads. pwede namang mag repost ang mga sellers kung hindi pa nabili ang kanilang vehicle or item for sale after 3 months.

baka sakaling bumilis ang loading ng tsikot dahil ma i-free up ang server resources...suggestion lang po, baka possible solution ito.

It seems somewhat ok from my end.

It took 16 seconds to get to the Main Forum page
It took 11 seconds to get to the Pitstop Cafe
It took 5 seconds to get to the last page of the Girl On The Other Side Of The World thread

Kapag walang tao, the pages load easily. As people log on, the pages take a long time to load. I open other boards, and they're pretty fast, so it's Tsikot's server that's (over)loaded(?)....

kala ko parang advertisement lang na papatagalin yung pag load para mabasa yung advertisement sa site...

with other car forums, ito ang pinakamatagal magload for me (using opera).. but no complaints whatsoever. pldt 999 gamit ko e.. naisip ko lang yung mga naka dial up..

ahh..kaya pala...napansin ko nga at di lang yan..palagi rin akong may error report..bat ganun...yoko nga isend baka may madetect na illegal sa softwares ko..di pa naman ako sure kung ano nakainstall dito sa LT ko..

ginagawa ko na lang sa madaling araw ako nag surf sa tsikot...mas mabilis...

naka DSL nga pala ako.

thank you for the information, tsikoteers. they have proven to be valuable in troubleshooting this page loading issue, according to yehey.

anyway, yehey has just informed me that they have partially addressed the problem.

do you observe any improvement in the page loading / access times today?

Yep, MUCH faster than before! It used to take me 5 minutes to load a page. Grabe. Ngayon less than a minute. Keep it up!
