[merged threads] Tsikot Advisory June 22, 2009: Troubleshooting

We are current disabling several functions (shoutbox, search, TCash, Forum Jump) as we troubleshoot and thresh out server performance issues with our host, Yehey.com.

We apologize for the inconvenience. All data are intact but the mentioned functions are on hold for the meantime as we try to troubleshoot server resources which these utilize to a great degree.

What happened?

They're doing their best to fix the site so they need to isolate which module is causing problems. The easiest way to do that is through an elimination process which involves block by block diagnostic processing. That's just what I think based on what I am seeing. No idea what they're actually doing. hehehe.

yes, for the meantime as we disabled 'Search' function in order to troubleshoot several server issues...

but members and tsikoteers can still start new threads and post new replies...

we understand your sentiments GH...

these things are not planned. this is just a stopgap measure to have the boards up... not something that we can advise way ahead in advance.

we're temporarily stripping down the forums / classifieds / gallery to the bare minimum as we troubleshoot functions/facilities that are hugging Yehey servers.

this is better than to something that is not accessible at all.
