so if the country you're visiting doesn't require visa you dont have to secure a DSWD permit?

If you're just visiting (tourist) no need. However, if you would be working in there and you intend to bring your child with you (being a single parent), you would need an authorization from the DSWD and a formal, written consent from your ex-spouse (if you were married before but not legally separated). This is even of the country does not require a visa.

However, I think it would be prudent to ask the DSWD. No harm in asking.

depends on how long she will stay in HK.... is she staying there for good? or is she staying there for working? or on vacation?

imho, ang HK would only allow you to stay without visa for a certain number of months din, so after that you would need some certain visa to work or to live there for a longer period of time or permanently. if this is the case, it is required that the kid also should have a visa. for application of visa, specially for separated parents, i don't think a DSWD clearance would be required. a birth certificate would be a requirement and some legal order (if separation is legally ordered e.g. legal separation or annulment) would be helpful or can be presented just in case.

    hth.

As for the birth certificate of the child, it should be an authenticated photocopy from the NSO.

bakasyon lg naman eh, she went to DSWD yesterday sabi na revised na daw yung family code last march 31, 2006. The child can go with her without a travel consent from DSWD pero gusto lg nya magsiguro.

di ba when the child travels with both parents, hindi na kelangan ng DSWD clearance? what if sabay ang both parents and the child lumabas ng pinas, then dad lang ang kasamang bumalik? kelangan ba ng clearance?

I read in the papers a couple of months back that the DSWD lifted this requirement. Not quite sure about this, so it's best to call them...

Ano? Consent para makasama ko uli yung bata?
