kumusta na hongkong ngayon? meron daw outbreak ng atypical pneumonia dyan, its a new virus daw na wala pang gamot para dito. kita ko sa cnn kanina na parang lahat ng tao naka surgical masks na. magtu-tour bukas dyan yung mga relatives ko, pero some of them backed out because of that.

I'm going there on thursday, siguro ingat na lang ako to be sure, btw, I called DOH to inquire about the travel advisory to HK, ang sabi sa kain nung babae nakausap ko, ok naman daw pumunta, just don't go daw sa mg a hospitals, and I also talked to icecoldbeer, he's working in HK, wala rin naman daw panic doon or something....

boybi, post mo naman dito sa board tom, if you ever talk to your relatives kung ano sabi ng nila kung andoon na sila pls, I have until wed to decide if I would push through with my travel.... thanks

shadow, baka hindi na sila matuloy. puro bata kasi sila (6) and 3 lang adults. pino-problema kasi nila kung pano ma-refund yung binayad sa travel agency, or kung pwde ipa-postpone nalang yung trip nila.

ganun din nangyari sa Singapore bago kami umalis ay big news din yang pneumonia na yan. meron silang 3 cases at ang travel advisory nila ay wag pupunta ng Hongkong, Vietnam at isang city sa China maliban lang kung importante. tama yung ginawa ng relatives mo boybi kc leisure lang naman lakad nila dun, pwede silang maghintay. pwedeng pa refund yung ticket nila pero lass 30% yata.

shadow, iwasan lang daw congested area. hindi naman ganun ka grabe ang balita. alam mo naman ang media, minsan ay baga pa lang eh apoy na tingin nila.:mrgreen:

bad trip, nid to go to hk n china next week din. i'll just take extra care going there. hotels naman ako palagi n ikot ikot sa ibang places so cguro ok naman.

My wife and kids are flying via Cathay pa naman next week. I just found this out ngayon so I called them right away if they can still change their tickets to JAL instead. Walanghiya kasi sobrang mahal ng PAL. Thanks for all the warnings...

i agree with shadow. just avoid hospitals and other congested areas. hyped lang naman yan eh. for sure, any communicable diseases like influenza or tuberculosis din naman at that can easily get transmitted on crowded areas eh.

Actually, I saw it about a month ago. It first originated in China, but then di ko masyado pinansin kasi di ako nakakapanood masyado ng TV dahil puro cartoons laman he he. I just remembered that incident when shadow asked me about it. A friend of mine also told me na big news nga daw sa Manila.

Here, people are calm and not much panicking going on, so I guess as happy_gilmore said, masyado lang naha-hype ng media. Of course, it's still best to take precautionary measures like if you can avoid passing through here, then better. If you're here like myself then you got no choice :cry: , but to avoid crowded places especially hospitals and buying food from street hawkers. I don't go out much, so okay lang he he :mrgreen:

hindi na nga sila tumuloy....sobra pa naman excited ng mga kids.

na refund nila from the travel agency pero me deduction na $60+ each, 9 sila, so mga P30T+ ang nawala

alam ko kapag sa mga packaged tour, very cheap ang mga tickets and hindi pwde ire-schedule. also, another reason din sa pag backout nila is the impending war in iraq.

medyo marami na ngang cases dito sa HK nang pneumonia, but okey pa naman... OA lang ang media...Yung mga health worker lang ang medyo delikado...

mas delikado pa ring pumunta sa Iraq...:lol::lol::lol:

mo man tai. isolated nqa ngayon sa hospital ang spread & infection of the virus. lately they hv already figured out that it originated from one of the hotel guest who just came from china. thus all those infected, where hotel guest from the same floor. when they brought sick guest, it spread into the hospital affecting the staff & other patients.
now they disinffecting both affected hotel & hospital.
