anyone here using those cheap china-made batteries? I bought one kanina mura kasi for just P100 (charger with 4pcs AA NiMh batteries na). Di ba delikadong gamitin yung mga ganitong batteries and charger? I tried the recharged batteries and its working naman.

    thanks!

OT ng konti... how about yung flashlight sa TV Shopping na walang battery (you just shake then may power na). Mukhang sulit kasi sya for Php1500.

piece of junk... the selling price should be much less than P500 for those "shake-lights" or faraday-effect-flashlights. In fact it should be around P150 - P200 retail. Those shake-lights might seem to be handy but the light is not that strong and you would be better off with those LED flashlights powered by regular batteries. Those can give a lot of light power.

I agree. I bought two Eveready Hardcase LED flashlights for the house and for my van. They run on 2 penlight batteries and reportedly last 50 hours before the battery gets drained. If this claim is even marginally true, it would be useful for when your car breaks down in the middle of nowhere and you need a long-lasting source of light to help you with your repairs. Eveready also claims the flashlight is water resistant.

Here's a photo of the hardcase (first from the top) compared in size with a GE flashlight with regular incandescent bulb, a Surefire E-2E, and a Photon Microlight II.

    P.S.

Any feedback on these batteries? 980 php each siya. yun orig siemens 2 thou na and you could only buy it sa mobile asia jolibee bldg beside robinsons galeria which is the exclusive siemens-benq distributor. turn out yun oirg bat ko may bulge niya ang nag off for no apparent reason.

when i was doing my thesis a year and a half ago, i needed four 5V supplies.

OT: You may be asking too much from a battery charger ... a charger is not the same as a DC power supply. A DC supply aims to have an output, as close as possible, like a straight DC line. An average battery charger on the other hand, has little filtering - hence, the waveform you saw. The additon of a voltage regulator chip and filter caps to your charger should've converted it to a decent DC power supply

Going back to Chinese-made batteries: I've seen some rechargeables and they're cheaper than alkalines sold here in the UK, so I bought loads of them for the kids' toys, remotes, radios, etc. I can't tell if they last as long as they should, but I've got a lot so I don't worry.

Pag LED puti yan. Kita ko yan kanina sa DIY-shop price ranges from 480+/- to 850+/-. I ended up buying a everyready flashlight (batteries included) for 260 pesos which isn't bad.

jackolites tawag dun.

    Afrasay,
Ok pa naman ata batt ko. hehehe. Sana tumagal pa [at least until a new all terrain phone comes to town]
