    I do.

When riding an airplane, I always find any of these useful for easy storage and access of passports, tickets, money, ballpen, wallet et al

When traveling on land,- I use any of these to store my wallet (uncomfortable to have it in my behind during long drives), spare keys, spare cellphone et al.

When on tours, I carry extra t-shirt, towel, and if possible bottled water....

Started with fanny pack/belt bag. Now, I occasionally use sling bags. Others call this 'body(?) bag'

i use a messenger bag when traveling with my laptop or bringing documents, but if i'm not going to bring my laptop or any documents i'll use a back pack or a sling bag.

    I use a messenger bag.

    When traveling, the bag holds:
    -passport
-other travel documents (tickets, itinerary, etc)
    -currency not immediately needed
    -pen(s)
    -netbook pc
    -digital camera
    -mp3 player

When going through airport security checks, I also throw in my mobile phones and wrist watch so I sail through the security checks faster & fumble less with loose stuff.

agree with this, that's why i prefer messenger bag than any thing else. i only use backpacks when i don't have to get anything from the bag while traveling or outside.
