hi peeps... for those who have been in davao already, san kayo nagstay and ano maganda dun? wala lang, baka sakaling in d future makapunta ako dun, wish ko lang.... sa pearl farm ok ba dun?
yes ok sa pearl farm, maganda dun n sarap mag jetski, island hopping is free hanggang magsawa ka. ok rin sa Eden nature park, u can try staying in the cottages, may mura meron din pangmayaman. trafficwise, minimal lng unless rush hour mdyo trapik konti but di naman grabe.
Punta ka rin sa Calinan sa Philippine Eagle and also Puente-Espina's farm/resort dun sa Calinan.
Top class hotels are in kung gusto mong buhay mayaman...pero kung gusto mo ng cheap options I would recommend SAMPAGUITA INN sa Mayon St. Very cheap P250-600 lang ang room depende sa ammenities (pang ahente eto na lodging place). It is very busy din so advance booking maybe necessary.
If you happen to be there on a Friday or Saturday...stambay ka sa FORUM (near Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas sa Davao)....
Want cheap but good fresh sea foods....try DELONGTES Restaurant near SM Davao (medyo likod ng parking area)....mura kesa sa DENCIO'S and the other restaurant on top of the hill (via GSIS village) (forgot the name).
Generally food that is good and cheap are sea foods...
Don't forget to taste the Durian sa DAVAO (sa may Magsaysay park ba yun?!?)
Tapos mag-uwi ka ng pomelo...the good ones usually are branded (like NENITA'S) but there are other not branded but very sweet too...they allow taste test before buying. A test for good pomelo is that it should feel heavy (mabigat) for its size. Pagmalaki pero magaang huwag mong kunin usually it is not sweet at makapal lang ang balat pag ganun.
Try the lugaw at Dencia's near Apo View hotel and JS-Gaisano Mall. Open's at 6am na yata yun...masarap na breakfast.
Been to Davao City thrice but always on official business. Though I have not been to tourist spots, I immediately loved the city and wish that I would settle there someday.
i love davao. i have lots of friends there. pearl farm is great, a bit expensive though. marami namang ibang beach resorts. dami ring gimmik places. check out 183, liquid and eagles.
ganda sa davao kahit na hindi ko na-appreciate ang lasa ng durian..meron kaming place na pinuntahan dun na overlooking sa gabi ang ganda..i forgot d name nga lang...gusto ko sana punta pearl farm para lang makita maganda daw dun..from the pics of bluebimmer nakakaexcite pumunta!!!hehehe..bakit pupunta ka ba davao?
thanks sa mga replies... di ba kami maliligaw dun pagdating namin ng davao? i think mas affordable yung pearl farm trip than boracay trip... kaso parang walang tao... we're planning to go there on 3rd week of september... why davao? kasi sabi nila mababait mga davaoenos, di pa sya polluted, mura mga foods and walang magnanakaw kung hindi, lagot sila kay deoterte ba yun?
nasa 4k/night ang pinaka entry level na rooms sa pearl farm eh (la pa lunch and dinner dun.. nasa 600/head yung buffet lunch/dinner, if you go ala carte siguro 200 lang ma-sa-save mo). (march 2005 pricing)
and don't think it's uber-safe dahil kay Warlord Duterte. marami pa ring lowbrow areas to avoid (e.g. bankerohan). it's probably not as bad as the slums of Manila (which i've never been to..) pero don't expect a crime-free utopia.
