I'll be going on a business trip to India. Is it safe to go there? How are the hotels there? And also the restaurants?

Never been to India, but whenever I travel, I always refer to Trip Advisor. Baka makatulong sa yo 'to: Search results: Ahmedabad, Gujarat - TripAdvisor. Happy trip!

Hi Boybi ... I've been to Mumbai on business. Indians tend to have the superiority complex when it comes to dealing with Filipinos. Don't ask me how I know, maybe it has something to do with the whole "british colony thing". In the company where I work, a single Filipino here in Manila can process work equivalent to 3 Indians in Mumbai.

Now before this becomes a racist thread, I would suggest you scan thru the internet on the Do's and Don'ts when in India.

    Ingat kayo!

never been there but some tips lang boybi bka ma misinterpret mo yung "iling" (head movement nila). means yes, approved or okey sa kanila. hehehe

    2. don't venture out of the hotel at night at baka may matapakan ka. either tao o ebak ng tao. uso night soil dun, kahit sa gitna ng business district. imagine half of the population of that city actually come from the province, and half of that half do not have a place to stay for the night. so natutulog lang sila sa sidewalks. at dun na din nila ginagawa yung "business" nila.

Iyan ang sinasabing "Look mean and smell bad"...

I concur with this. My German Tito who was based there for some software work was exasperated on their work ethics. If you're doing business with them, make sure it's clear on what's expected from them to be done or else a lot of the work gets passed on to you.

Gujarat is a dry city, meaning alcohol drinking is not allowed. But you can secretly askthe hotel staff to slip a couple of cans for you. Be careful with the food so eat in restaurants only. And be ready for the exotic and spicy smell.

I'm actually having second thought. Even before reading the posts here. First, walang may gustong sumama sa akin. And whenever I travel, dapat may clean toilets. I sit on the throne at least twice a day.
