September 8th, 2017 09:12 PM #1Hello all!
I have a Pajero CK, 3.2 dhd automatic. Had to replace the transmission, got a surplus transmission transplant laman loob. Afterwards, it would drive but there is a kick when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd gear. Took it back to the shop and they replaced it with another surplus tranny but still same problem. I had it checked at the casa and they couldn't find any codes so they said it was mechanical. However, if you remove the negative terminal of the battery, it would run smoothly and normally for a while, until the kick would come back. Once the kick is back it will stay, even when driven in manual mode, there is the kick from second to third. So at the transmission shop, they said it was a computer problem since it can run smoothly for a while. Any ideas anyone??
Thanks!
Carla

what year?
upshift change logic is based on throttle input. my guess is at some point there is an ffff signal at the throttle. hmmm i think this is not throttle-by-wire...
