aircon compresor nag amoy sunog na clutch/break

before nag amoy sunog na clutch. parang may naputol na belt then takatakatak sound then. pinatay ko a/c nawala ang sound. then 5minutes later on my trip i switched my aircon again. wala nayung takatak sound and wala na lamig a/c ko then nag-amoy parang sunog na clutch or break sa engine bay. what happend kaya sa compresor ko. ill bring it to aircon shops tomorw palang..
3weeks ago pinalitan ko yung relay ng auxillary fan ng compresor ko. hindi kasi gumagana. andar-lamig, hinto-init aircon ko. then ko na. until this incident this morning. help

It could be the a/c clutch or a stuck up bearing.

tama si sir otep clutch ng a/c compressor mo ang prob , common wear and tear problem yan sa compressors kaya di naputol belt mo kc pag nasira yung magnetic clutch di na rin mag papump yung compressor so meaning parang nakaoff palagi yung aircon mo , try having the magnetic clutch replaced sa compressor mo or buy surplus or kung madami datung eh bnew na :D ,

Compressor shaft ba iyan? Yung iniikutan ng bearing? Medyo malabo kasi ang pic.

Nakakuha ko kay Mang Mario ng ganyan. Kaya lang hindi ko alam kung magkano. Package price ko na kinuha kasama yung labor, refrigerant, and other materials.

P17,500. tama lang ba price? tapos daming papalitan pa. drier at lahat lahat.......... kasi daw bago yung compresor baka daw may mga bubog ng nasirang scroll pumasok na sa loob etc.. sabi ng mekanik. estimate aabot ng P24k. parts and labor. tama lang ba price?

Kung 17,500 yung compressor, tapos 24k all-inclusive, mahal...

Drier + expansion valve = ~3000 (depende sa modelo ng sasakyan)
Linis Evaporator + freon charging = ~900
Labor = 500

So, dapat gastos mo lang ay 21,900. Dapat nga may discount ka pa ng konti since sa kanila ka na kumuha ng parts

Sobrang mahal naman nyan. Usually drier lang papalitan mo diyan kasi dun naman nagsesettle ang debris. Yung ibang items, tubo na nila yun. hehehe.

Personally, I'd prolly have the scroll on the existing compressor replaced (if the rest of the compressor is still good) or just have surplus unit installed. Either one would cost around Php6k all-in. And even if you assume that the surplus compressor will get only 1/2 the lifespan of the brand new one, it's still not a bad deal since you only paid 1/4 the price. And judging by the number of surplus compressors I've tried on different vehicles (including my daily driver), they are quite durable.

Another alternative would be to find another shop to buy and install a new compressor from. One that will not pull your leg.

But it's your call.

wow dko napansin may Flushing papala ng aircon system using nitrogen. P1,200. yun ba yung laughing gas? tinatamad nako maghanap hanap pa at pumunta sa calapangan. baka mabangga pako along the way lalo lalaki gastos ko or sayang gas-gas sa gulong. init pa naman ngayon kaya pinagawa ko na.
ayan receipt. sorry na-extra si siomai. mahal pala dun. pero ok na siguro yun tatagal na for 5yrs.

Kung 5 years lang ang expected mong buhay sa compressor, sana nag-surplus ka na lang. Usually na-dispose na namin sasakyan gumagana pa din surplus compressor.

Ang tindi ng shop mo, bawat kilos may bayad! Hehehe. :lol: Pati kada O-ring may price.

Dun sa huling resibo ko kay Mang Mar nakalagay lang "Replace Compressor/Drier" tapos nakalagay na price (Php6k). Hindi na nakalista yung refrigerant, oil, labor, etc. kasi kinukuha ko ng pakyaw ang gawaan and hindi naman ako umaalis kaya alam kong hindi sila nagmamagic. Mga kalahating araw at most para magpalit ng compressor.

AFAIK, hindi mo naman kailangang i-flush na ng Nitrogen. You can flush it with any air na malinis. Then vacuum the system afterwards.

wow ang mahal naman nyan , suggest ko pariestimate nyo sa iba , try nyo sa aves car aircon sa may sto.domingo st lapit sa sienna college , ok sila gumawa dun at honest yung may ari . tulungan ka pa nya mapamura yung gastos mo. lahat ng sasakyan namin dun namin pinapagawa so far la pa ko reklamo sa service nila.

Nung nasa Q.C. pa uncle ko, satisfied customer siya niyang aves (pa-spellcheck na lang). Kaso nasa Pampanga na siya now.

Siya nga pala, yung pakabit ng compressor kina Mang Mario ay Php1,200 for dual air, mga Php900 ata for single air. Kasama na dun oil, refrigerant and other minor materials. Yung ibang client kasi nagdadala ng sariling compressor/parts. Eh tamad ako maghanap kaya sa kanya na lang din ako kumukuha ng parts (they have both brand new and surplus).
