Pros:
- easier to learn
- shifting is something you won't need to worry about when driving
- burning clutch (a newbie characteristic) is non existent
- great if you're stuck in traffic
Cons:
- more expensive to repair/replace
- car becomes less exciting to drive
- left foot becomes a useless appendage

- slightly higher fuel consumption than manual
- slightly less engine power/responsivess than manual
