mejo mahaba na yung thread, not sure if may nag ask na neto:
1. At what speed normally you shift from D to 2 or 1 if you are approaching an uphill? is there a certain speed advisable to do this? may nkapagsabi sakin wag ka bigla mag shift from D to 2 kapag mabilis pa takbo mo. Pero yung from 1 to 2 to D is pede daw mag shift habang moving yung sasakyan.
Also, if you are on steep gradient and let say you are at 2, do you normally floor just to catch up with speed?
Ano pa technique nyo kapag uphill yung byahe nyo, thanks.
I never needed 2 or 1. I once used 2 though when the car was fully loaded then wala bwelo sa incline sa baguio dahil ayoko mag up shift agad ang gear.
About changing gear while on the move? Iwasan lang step ang gas while you shift, IMO.

Btw corolla 93 big body matic user.
Salamat sa mga idea nyo.[emoji8]

Make use of the full range of movement of your accelerator pedal, just like your brakes. U might find it enjoyable. Ü

i just keep it at regular D, and let the car do the thinking.
i do not remember the last time i used anything else besides D.
You’ll know when there’s a need to use other gear settings.... Downhill engine braking, or if the A/T is oscillating between two gears, etc.
Changing gear/modes helps by keeping the driving experience more engaging, without resorting to driving an M/T.
Another, does switching OD off consumes more fuel?
